it depends on individual taste - based on imdb rating looks that way (8.3/10 - 3,627)

the action is taking place is US over the time when they have started to counstruct railways with chinese people for cheeper working hand ( same timeline with Hell on Wheels ) - the main character comes to US to search for his sister - but life leads them in different tongs ( wich struggle to take control over opium traffiking) secondary plots are with the police force assigned to chinese district ,irish people wich ae out of work because the chinese cheeper working hand,mayor's whife who falls in love with the main character, the brothel owner and the elite's who tries to keep things unstable in china town (plot in wich his sister is involved also)

probably if you like martial arts movies or tv-shows you will like this also - i saw the first 9 episode's until now and i can say that at least is not predictable at the end of each episode like other tv-shows are

Fighting is not as silly/stupid as in Into The Badlands?

is not - you don't see flying overhere and other SF stuff - mostly is just martial arts
