Hello,

First and foremost, a big thank you for mmmmm's great tutorial on smartsniff (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f59/tutorial-how-use-smartsniff-capture-announces-bittorrent-32021/)

Here a couple of qBitTorrent 3.3.13 client files for VEM.
The Files: 17857
Content:

3.3.13 Encryption Disabled.client
3.3.13 Encryption Preferred.client

I created 2 files for 2 reasons:

1. VEM

With VEM the encryption modes I choose in Vuze settings are ignored in the announce. I tried with
a few client files (QBT, Tornado, utorrent).

So I need to provide the encryption mode directly in the client file.

2. qbitorrent

qbitorrent settings offer 3 encryption modes:

preferred encryption
required encryption
disable encryption

Strangly, when I choose "required encryption" the announce file (legit QBT 3.3.13) shows:
supportcrypto=1 :stupid:
with the same settings, QBT 3.3.5 gave me: requirecrypto=1. :top:
It doesn't matter, I read that "required encryption" is rarely used.

Well then, I only need 2 spoof client files.

I've "hardcoded" the encryption mode in my QBT client files since QBT 3.3.5 (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f274/qbittorrent-3-3-5-a-33020/) client files and I have personnally always taken the "Encryption Preferred" file.

thank you very much!
your qb client files are my favorite. :top:

did you also test these with PTP etc like your other client files?

not PTP, their gestapo squad banned me last year after linking my PTP account with my SBI account.

but I tested it with HDT and another tracker to see that other clients see me like the legit client and can DL and UL.

I did not test cheating and will not. I've stopped cheating as the returns were poor compared to the inherent risk of ban across multiple trackers).

I don't know nor think that the client file affect the cheating settings.

The SBI dude should be running like a thieve with a stolen bag of pop corn!

Cheaters aren't thieves :gfrown: Now, if it was a bag of fake popcorn intended to be dumped in the swarm, we could discuss the idea.

Looking back at the picture, the SB-I dude should also get a neck, but such is life.

Cheaters aren't thieves :gfrown:

A buffer on a tracker is like your bank account balance. When you upload/seed, you earn cash, when you download, you spend your cash.

If one ghost-leeches 50 GB, you could argue that these 50 GB were stolen.
If one fake-seeds 50 GB, you could argue that these 50 GB were counterfeited.

But spoofing your torrent client, is not stealing anything. Nobody looses.

I was making a metaphor, though.
