I use rutracker most of them time. I really like it.

RARBG, 1337x, TorrentDownloads, LimeTorrents, WorldWide Torrents

What about malware and other forms of infections? Is there a public trwacker that has safe content?

Don't forget Demonoid.

Most fakes are removed quickly these days, but you can always check the comment section to be sure.

For softwares i have find tehparadox and silenground really useful. On the two these ddl sites i have found most softwares i searched. You need an invite to join silentground.

What I use as public trackers:

extratorrent.cc
shaanig.org
rarbg.to
demonoid

With them I use semi-private ones which are

zamunda.net
rutracker.org

I would suggest ONE or TWO more private trackers just to sleep on.

IPT
TD

I would also suggest DDL sites like

TehParadox
Warez-BB
forum.mobilism.org

That's it. That's really what I use more than ALL private trackers combined and I "used to be" on many ones.

i'll use illusive's post as a template:

What I use as public trackers:

-

What I use as semi-private trackers:

rutracker.org (mostly for music)
RockBox - Index (http://psychocydd.co.uk/) (rock/metal music tracker, if needed)

What I use as DDL sites:

Warez-BB (if needed)
Your Dark Music Portal » Dark-World.ru (http://dark-world.ru/) (metal music)
https://scnlog.eu/ (scene stuff, if needed)
Scene Music | Scene-RLS.com 's Music Section (http://musics.scene-rls.net/) (scene music, if needed)
google/bing (if needed)

and a few other sites on rare occasions
the majority of these rls are easily found on (low-medium level) general private trackers

Master Razor

That silentground is very good for software. Found some stuff not available on TehParadox or Warez-BB. Nice find codec :top:
Still, I triple scan all downloads, and double scan on online servers. none of these DDL sites offer any assurance.

If only we had a windows equivalent of the brilliant Brokenstones tracker
These forums sites are a bit "annoying", need to have accounts on the filehosting sites (I often see that DDL forum posters only allow download for paid members).
And then you have the virus and their likes problem. whenever there is a keygen or a a patch to apply, my AV (Symantec End point) always see a threat, it's not easy to see if this is a false positive.

but you know, I keep telling myself: beggars can't be choosers

But Private are better

Exactly right. :top:

I don't know, all private anime trackers suck compared to nyaa.si :eyebrows:

Also, RIP old Demonoid and its admin Deimos :gfrown: There is a semi-official revival with some former staff, but it's not there yet. Zamunda is the closest thing we have, technically private but signups are always open and they have no ratio requirements in addition to magnet links.

RARBG and rutracker are pretty good.

The Pirate Bay recently did a site recode, but fell asleep halfway through; it now requires JavaScript to work at all, and is pretty buggy in any case. Torrentz2.eu is a good one that hasn't been mentioned in this thread. And the new Demonoid gets better every day.

Technically, none of these are public trackers as they only index torrents, but we know what we're talking about.

Also, TPB used to run their own trackers, and had a "VIP" one with reduced announce intervals for those who donated. AlsoČ, Torrents.ru RuTracker used to be private with signups only open a few hours a day, making it pretty tough to create an account if you were far enough from Russia. Thumbs up if you remember that on 2020 :smilie4:

nice thread,

I usually grab stuffs from FL or TL since no cock sucking or ban comes there :P

but for public and semi private trackers i would use

Rutracker
Nyaa/Animetosho
Rarbg
1337x
btdb.eu
TorrentGalaxy
And who can ever forget pornolab :liebe_135:

And for DDL forums,

Snahp
Team os
Tehparadox
Cs rin ru
Cgpeers
rlsbb.ru

i was looking for few more games torrent sites besides GGN and pixelcove and a public offer of course for grabbing VN's and other games are there any public like that besides cs rin?

Nice find! But filesharing should be legalized already so that there's no need for proxies that spring up as quickly as they're blocked :wtinfoil:

Porn = Pornleech.io

Their peer numbers are inflated, 2D categories are rarely updated, and the site itself is glitchy with lots of timeouts and redirect loops. Other than that, they're a good non-automated aggregator of public torrents.

considering few days ago Youtube-dl from github was taken down i think shit is gonna go downfall with the services not investing in improving themselves but rather going anti pirates.

considering few days ago Youtube-dl from github was taken down

Even though the RIAA has amped up their takedowns lately, I consider action against YouTube downloaders a token effort in a losing battle, as many other programs and services exist for the task (jDownloader is my favorite) and YouTube ripping is the lowest tier of piracy anyway, comparable to taping songs from FM radio. However and at the same time, I can't deny this sets a dangerous precedent, and video grabbers also have legitimate non-infringing uses. So I'm glad to see that at least resistance has been very strong, with even GitHub's CEO speaking in favor of the project.

In a more general note, these efforts at copyright enforcement/"defending the artists" cross the bullshit line so often. Just a week ago Artzie Music's channel was closed due to a copyright infringement complaint... because they used short loops of classic anime as background for their original music. And musicians usually receive less than 15% of money made through record sales. Get real.

Maybe the future of torrent sites lies in Tor onion services. Set everything up correctly and you won't have to worry about server raids or domain seizures.

https://filelisting.com/

Their database seems huge, but I recommend disabling JavaScript or using a content blocker to browse, because there's a guaranteed pop-under on every page.

Update: with scripting disabled, take advantage of the following to filter your searches instead.

- FileListing search operators: -word to exclude word; word1 | word2 | word3 to find any of those instead of all; size:AB-CD to set a size range where A and C are numbers, B and D are one of kb, mb, gb, tb (bytes are assumed otherwise) and AB can be omitted to represent zero or CD can be omitted to represent infinity; in:title to not search filenames

This one is... interesting. There is no visible search feature. You can use /tag?q=word1+word2+word3 to search titles, with the caveat that will find all torrents containing any of those words, often resulting in a lot of noise. Encoding spaces as %20 instead of + and/or enclosing terms in quotation marks made no difference; using a regular search engine with the site:freshmeat.io operator is still possible. Search was either broken when I wrote this, or added very recently. Unfortunately it works the same way as the workaround I described.

It also tracks active peers on torrents and vice versa, but only found very few of the public ones I'm seeding.

Seems to me the focus of the site is finding recommendations or cool stuff at random, rather than building a "real" index. It's still fairly usable as one, though :idunno:

Self-hosted DHT search engine. Didn't want to post it since I haven't actually tried it and it's no longer maintained, but for the sake of completeness... note that even though BEP-51 theoretically allows it, don't expect a single instance to index millions of torrents like the search engines I've posted before, those run nodes all around the world and have been operating for years.

Upon closer examination, they don't seem to delete their download history. Some of the stuff I was seeding on early 2021 is still listed under my IPs of the time. Spooky :ninja:

To convert an IP address a.b.c.d to its decimal representation, do a*16777216 + b*65536 + c*256 + d.

I don't know... I've been using torrents for 20 years, but with the exception of Windows ISOs from verified uploaders, I still feel like I'm playing Russian roulette when downloading warez from public trackers. Those things are very attractive targets due to the low investment required, huge audience and the fact you can reasonably expect antivirus warnings from (legitimate) cracks, letting your guard down.

Also, FreshMeat is gone on both Tor and clearnet.

for windows os, now in private tracker but open, teamos.xyz is popular.

but i always prefer untouch windows os.
otherwise, try Lubuntu.
i installed that few months ago, found it interesting.

but i am windows addict, most reason is i have multi vpns, and i mostly use windows built ikev2.
if i had extra laptop, i might use Lubuntu permanently.
i am still using win 7, i hate 8, 8.1, 10 and even 11.
in future i might migrate to Linux.

i mostly use rarbg for years, i was nearly in all trackers except ptp, hdbits, chdbits.

I have tried Lubuntu and many other distros throughout many years, which is why I use Windows as my main OS to this day. Linux is very good for servers, embedded devices and security auditing, but the 1970s design decisions show when you're trying to do "normal" usage. That's alright, though - you can take it or leave it.
