Hi. Sorry to bother you again.
Qbittorrent and mratio ports are different when I'm downloading and uploading at the same time. Is this a problem or there's no need to worry about this? I followed the procedure to bind these two programs port but it didn't work. I saw a setting to manually setup the port in mratio. If I set the port from qbittorrent to mratio manually, will it work?

I think my previous reply already answered all of that, but... yes, with this emulation, to make both programs appear as one to your tracker(s) their listen ports must be the same. The setting to use a fixed port in mRatio does work (why wouldn't it) and should be set to the same port number you use in qBittorrent. Do that, but make sure to always start qBittorrent before mRatio, because two different programs cannot bind to the same port.

I'll assume you're the unregistered poster from before. Unfortunately, Deluge 2.x.x sends different headers depending on which system it runs under (see 33447 and 34372), which makes it impossible to create an "universal" emulation as is the case with most other clients.

I could install Pop!_OS (an Ubuntu-based distro) inside a virtual machine, install Deluge 2.0.3 from the repositories, capture its announces and attempt to create a client file for it, but unfortunately I have very little time for that right now. I'll revisit this and look into it as soon as I'm free.

I use mRatio 541 but it seems there's upload limit of 256 kb per second. How to ignore this limitation?

Thank you

-------------------

I found the solution. I needed to untick the "Use safer upload speeds" option in Options/General section.

Make sure mRatio is set to "expert" mode, then look around the settings for some option about speed limits :wwink:

Hi. Some trackers showing NAT status in their websites. I use shared connection. Port is closed by my ISP. And until I buy public IP, they won't provide me open port. And also buying public ips here need extra charges and it's costly. So, is it possible to bypass this and showing them port is open, I mean NAT status? Thank you. Sorry for my bad English :3

This is true. For that you have to use port forwarding configuration on your modem(router/NAT-device). So when data comes to your modem on PUBLIC_IP:PUBLIC_PORT it will be forwarded to your PRIVATE_IP:PRIVATE_PORT. I'm sure there is at least one tutorial in the forum here about port forwarding. Here are some finds

https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?7904-How-to-be-Connectable-all-the-time!
https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?19646-Forward-ports-easily-with-Simple-Port-Forwarding

If these are not up to date and you did not find proper guide here, let me know and I might post one tutorial from private tracker that's properly explains most of things. You also might use https://portforward.com/router.htm to select your modem/router/NAT-device and follow the guide.

Thanks a lot for your generous response. I appreciate that. The first two threads are good but old, I think and I'm a noob in these things(never done any of these before, a literal noob). To be honest, I couldn't get in my head half of the things. I tried a few things but ended up getting "an unidentified network" and got disconnected(done something wrong, obviously). I can't find a guide for my router as well. I'm using Xiaomi Router 4AC (Global version) Dual Band.

And I've one more question. Is it really possible "port forwarding" for a shared connection? :(
I'm kinda worried about this. Cause my tracker shows on their website that I got no public IP and port is closed and I can't seed, If someone sees me uploading and reports me, I'm dead for sure. -_-

**SAD NOISEESSS**AND CRYING***
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT/UPDATE:
I forwarded the port but NAT status didn't change in the tracker. As I mentioned, couldn't get in my head anything from the threads. So I tried to search on youtube and found a tut and applied it. But still, it won't work.

Maybe here in my country ISPs totally prohibited open ports for shared connections because of their business policies(they have to earn money, you know!!)

So followed this tut below,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8RQw62Oi2w

Lemme know if this tut is false. :(

Based on what you've written and what I know about the country formerly mentioned in your "location", your provider uses CGNAT. In that case, forget it. Setting up port forwarding of any kind in your router won't help, since there's an additional layer of NAT done by your provider, and they won't open ports for you.

There are no tricks here, the only solutions are paying for a public IP or using a VPN that supports port forwarding (and there aren't any that are also free, work well and are allowed by private trackers).

That's a common misconception. Being unconnectable does not mean you can't upload. Only that others can't connect to you, and connections to or from other unconnectable peers are infeasible. This puts you at a disadvantage and makes seeding more difficult, but not impossible.

A call to SSPI failed, see inner exception.

This is an Schannel error, but unfortunately the log is encrypted, so we can't actually read the inner exception. Are you using the TLS Fix? A quick visit to ssllabs.com says it's mandatory for this tracker.

Yes, I'm using TLS fix... Few days ago I added 3 torrent files to my mratio and they are just working fine. but today I tried to add some more torrents and this happened.

There has never been any, because mRatio was designed to be accessible to people of all skill levels. That's why it has a beginner mode, security warnings, soft speed limits, etc., and they can all be turned off if you don't need them.

"I have attempted to contact The248, but received no response." -- Me, 04.05.20

I don't think there will be a "next update", unfortunately. As for the rest of your post, here are some suggestions.

Dark mode: if you open the settings dialog and click on "Change Theme" in the bottom left corner, you can change the color of some UI elements to black, although the overall impact is minimal. I suggest lowering your screen's brightness and color temperature so that bright colors are less of a bother (I use 33% and 2300K).
High resource usage with large amounts of torrents loaded: make sure "reduce memory consumption" is disabled and "don't resize the main window in real time" is enabled in the settings. Increase the interface refresh rate to 2s. Always sort the torrent list by name so that elements only move when you add or delete something. Collapse groups that have less-relevant torrents so that fewer elements have to be refreshed.

Agreed. My guess is that he got tired of this torrent stuff and moved on. I would have still appreciated a quick reply, however.

In any case, his programming masterpiece is still relevant many years later, and I am pleased I was allowed to be a small part of this project by making a translation, client files and now TLS Fix.

Just don't be gone all of a sudden, like the coder. :(

And here I'm again to bother you. Sorry :(
I got another problem. I registered on a private tracker yesterday. For testing, I experimented with a torrent. And got a message or error. It is "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". And the torrent color is showing yellow.
And not showing the torrent in "active torrent list". So, I couldn't be sure It was actually seeding or not.

Can someone create uTorrent 3.5.5.45704 client to... :-)

I created it for RM+ and should have done it for mRatio at the time, but wasn't sure how high the demand for uTorrent emulations is these days. There hadn't been a new version in literally months  Anyway, coming soon.

oh shit :shockkk!: so only Ratio master plus works for all or is it same in that too?

anon

RatioMaster Plus can read any client (in principle) and even remote instances on other computers.

If you go to the client file section for the tool of your choice and look up the emulation you're using, you'll find tips on how the memory reader should be used, if at all.

Someone reported this same error a few years ago, but I was unable to find a cause or pattern for the bug, even after receiving a copy of some .torrent files that triggered it.

If you suspect having thousands of torrents loaded is the reason, you could try Sandboxie to run multiple instances of mRatio and distribute the load evenly among them.

Yes, so to explain again when i stop a torrent and start it after few seconds the peer id and key will be same always. But lets say when i restart mr all the id's and keys of all torrents change. now this is what makes me paranoid to use it some top trackers. if this is a common behavior i'll start using it on top trackers after your confirmation and if not, is there any fix for this? or else fml :frown:

Yes, so to explain again when i stop a torrent and start it after few seconds the peer id and key will be same always. But lets say when i restart mr all the id's and keys of all torrents change.

That's the expected behavior also followed by qBittorrent itself. Identification data never persists across restarts on any client. The only (potential) problem here is that trackers could observe this behavior only occurring for some torrents if you restart mRatio while keeping qBittorrent open, and since the port number is the same, you can't argue that you're running two instances of the client. The only solutions to this are either never restarting mRatio or always restarting both programs.

Pleasantries aside, I'm glad it worked, although I don't consider this a real solution... more of a workaround for a workaround. Not only should mRatio be able to run thousands of torrents without triggering bugs in the first place, it should also allow multiple instances, which there wouldn't be any problem with as long as they're installed in different directories (even listen port conflicts aren't a big deal, as they're not used to receive or transmit any application data).

I'm planning to look into getting instances to run without Sandboxie, but the executable is protected with an unknown packer, so I don't expect much success.

it would be dangerous tho... i know some trackers ban on flashing instantly if its above X amount and waffles is good and all but doing it on too many torrents seems dangerous too..

The248 didn't even want to add either method in the first place, as he didn't consider them safe. If he were still here, I highly doubt he would implement the ability to automate them on multiple torrents at the same time.

I'm getting this error message in mratio for a tracker.

object reference not set to an instance of the object. What does this mean? That's a generic .NET error message. If you send me a copy of the .torrent file, I'll be able to get more details.

For most tracker mR5.4.1 is working fine, but with few trackers the smile is orange/yellow and in the logs i get this error [mR 5.4.1][Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]

any idea what is this and how to fix it?

Which trackers, exactly? And have you tried using a different client emulation?

If that doesn't work, please compress the offending .torrents in a ZIP archive, upload it to https://tmp.ninja/ and send me the link via PM. I'll have a closer look.

Point to be noted, uploading is working. It's adding upload credit to the tracker. So, Should I use mratio in this tracker? Or maybe it's tracker's bug?

I was under the impression this was caused by gzip compression in tracker replies, and the redirect.py file I gave you (when you helped me debug the SSPI error) should have also fixed that. They all did, and testing suggested this bug was caused by gzip compression, which I solved in mRatio Fixer v5 by decompressing responses and rewriting the Content-Length before passing them to mRatio. If you have .torrent files that prove this wrong as of v6, I am definitely interested on having them.

Hi,

As the title says, is SOCKS5 proxy supported in mRatio?
I am trying to use my VPN provider proxy server which is a SOCKS5 on port 1080 but I'm getting connection timeout each time I start a torrent file.

anon
01.12.20, 08:13
As the title says, is SOCKS5 proxy supported in mRatio?

Yes, but unfortunately proxy support is very broken.

HTTP doesn't work at all; the request will be crafted as if addressed to the proxy, but sent directly to the destination instead.
SOCKS works, but the destination port is forced to be 80 for HTTP and 699 for HTTPS trackers, which means the latter won't work and neither will any tracker that uses a custom port.

You can work around these issues by relying on a third-party program like Proxifier, SocksCap or proxychains-windows instead. If you're using mRatio Fixer (see 34407), the situation is even more complicated: you'll have to set everything up as described on the thread, with 127.0.0.1:8080 in mRatio, and then use one of the aforementioned programs on the mitmproxy process instead (which is where you'll ultimately configure your VPN provider's proxy).

In terms of handling torrents deleted by tracker, eg after the tracker returns message "unregistered torrent", does the real client continue to send tracker messages at intervals? and does mR handle this situation the same way as the real client?

[2020/12/17 18:41:53] Receiving data ...
[2020/12/17 18:41:55] The tracker returned the following failure reason: unregistered torrent

Yes and yes. Failure reasons are a generic way to show an error message, and unlike us, clients don't know that "unregistered torrent" or "invalid passkey" are rather permanent errors. So the treatment is always the same: keep announcing following the tracker's interval, or 1800s if no interval was specified.

doesn't look like they are noticing or investigating these "treatments" yet - and it has been a long time. But of course you should hide your entry in the top lists. It's a top audio tracker that starts with o and their concept is just plain stupid: even as a webseeder there is perceived no way to upload even a few GBs in the usual way and no way to get upload credited for seeding points or uploaded content. So I agree with that. Thanks for the great tool.

It means there's something wrong with that torrent: already added, invalid .torrent file, no tracker announce URLs, etc. The reason should be displayed next to it.

Seedboxes do work on music trackers, but you must use them correctly and have some patience. It's not like on general trackers where you can pump and dump a popular torrent and get a few hundred GBs of upload in the process.

Anyway, good to know that the mRatio seedbox was a success, tee hee hee...

On the music trackers the best/only way to build ratios is to upload. Just get/find a deezer, tidal, qobuz account and upload any 2020, non english maybe, releases not on the trackers. Bunch of seedboxes will pick up anything 2020 straight away.

idk if this was mentioned in this forum before but you can find a vinyl release and while uploading change the release date to 2020 and make sure that discog or whatever other service don't have the musicans [that album] name and its one way to upload town and after the upload has been uploaded change the release date fast and if staffs ask anything just saying it was typo or a copy pasting mistake:tongue:. its easy upload for first 1 or 2 uploads will be probably leased unless staffs read this and get more strict.

Very clever metastrategy, although not one I would personally use because... well, uploading stuff you don't even care about so that it gets autosnatched is already bullshit, and deliberately mislabeling said stuff to dupe autosnatchers into grabbing it doubly so :gnoes: Besides, as you said, staff will catch on eventually.

Tbh I'd also like to have an auto-dl cheating solution as fanatic, but certain post before seems have mentioned too much automation is not desired to avoid excessive abuse.

That was probably me advicing both against automatic cheating and pretending to be a seedbox from your home IP. Neither usually ends well.

It's metaphor, act like a 1Gbps seedbox. Tbh I'd also like to have an auto-dl cheating solution as fanatic, but certain post before seems have mentioned too much automation is not desired to avoid excessive abuse. But personally just thinking about "it will be possible to use it with AutoDL-IRSSI after Ratio-spoof (https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?34569-Ratio-spoof-(Windows-Linux-Mac)) is further improved" makes me excited. :letsdance:

hit me up on that if your interested as i have made a proper/pseudo style seedbox. all we want is to use flex get then remove * and keep *REMUX* items and download and upload using the Biglymod's ratio tool. if only we could have further improvised on the changing part from ratio to speed ++ mode then it would have been well achieved as cheating on remuxes is by far stable on general trackers. gained 1tb a day by cheating on them but the manual work is hard as i got to keep and eye out in case the uploader limits his speed on the torrent. this is why its undo able on chinese trackers without manual work.

Of course it is - with very few exceptions, I only create emulations by request, since I don't have time to supply them preemptively whenever a client is updated.

Anyway, I'll do qBittorrent 4.3.3 soon... surprised no one asked for 4.3.2.

Hello! I was wondering if we could get a uTorrent client file for version 3.5.5 (build 45852). I am guessing this is why my memory reader is not working. However, the version of the utorrent I am using shows up in the memory reader, but when I go to search and apply, it states that no torrent found using the version I have. Thank you very much. I have been using Ratiomaster 1.9.1 for a few days and I must have not even configured the memory reader properly there, I am surprised I am not banned. Thank you very much again.

1.9.1 isn't even the last version in the 1.9.x series, which has known bugs in its emulation (see 355881), so consider that a near miss indeed. Also see 34407 and 33029.

What a great plot twist... but here's another. Absolutely anyone can have the "information about seedbox" you posted. Just load a torrent with lots of them and copy it from your client's peer list =] Anyway, for the sake of argument, let's see what you would need to achieve your goal.

Run an HTTP proxy on a seedbox or datacenter IP - which no, using "IP/hostname to report to tracker" won't replicate.
Bind to the TCP port you're using for mRatio on the same box, by running something like `nc -Lnzp 51026' remotely.
Install mRatio Fixer, then configure the proxy you set up in step 1 as an upstream in config.yaml.
Use a client emulation commonly associated with seedboxes, like rTorrent or Deluge (optional but fitting).

If you manage to do all of this, you'll have your own "mRatio seedbox"... which can still get caught if you make stupid mistakes or the tracker has good detection scripts, because you're still cheating after all.

If you're familiar with bencoding, a way to mass-edit .mRSave files is detailed at 359303, but in this scenario you want to do the opposite of that: find the proxy settings and wipe them. Unless you have many torrents, however, removing and readding is just easier.

Why did you post a link of ratiomaster plus 2.1.

Just in case you weren't aware of it :gsmile:

I have downloaded mRatio fixer 7. How to configure config.yaml?

You should refer to the mitmproxy 4.0.4 documentation for that. Also, your proxy must support the CONNECT method and allow it on non-443 ports (for trackers that use those), because HTTP-only proxies won't work on HTTPS trackers, and SOCKS is not supported as upstream at all... unless you use Proxifier or SocksCap to chain the mitmproxy.--- process  And make sure to secure your proxy, or else botnets and IoT search engines will find it in a few hours.

Also, don't blame me or this forum if you get banned even after doing everything right.

Get familiar with how bencoding works (see 4641) and then you'll be able to use the Notepad++ method. I think it's basically a matter of setting the proxy type to 0 and deleting the other values, but I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader.

do you reckon there is a lower chance of getting caught if you are seeding 30 other torrents legally, next to the illegal?

Unfortunately, things don't work that way. Cheating is mostly detected via scripts that warn staff when one or more thresholds of suspicious activity are reached. Moderators aren't going to check your account and think "this torrent looks weird, but the other 'x' ones he's seeding a lot are fine, so I'll let it go"; they're going to base their decision on the "weird" one(s) alone, especially considering that 1. fake seeding is trivial to perform and very difficult to detect, 2. there are certain indicators like malformed announces or implausibly high speeds that essentially guarantee cheating (not a problem with mRatio if used correctly, however).

In other words, you only need to screw up once to potentially lose your account, and torrents where you didn't cheat or didn't get caught cheating don't have any influence on that. Make sure all of them look "legal" and you'll be fine.

Is it possible to modify mRatio in some way so trackers report correct information?
For example one of my trackers doesn't report the number of seeds, only peers.

Firstly, if the tracker doesn't have the ability to report this information at all, there's nothing that can be done about that. The only way would be to connect to every peer and "classify" them (assuming the tracker gives you 100% of the swarm and everyone is connectable), and ratio tools don't connect to peers by definition.

Secondly, there's a bug in mRatio that causes this data to be parsed incorrectly when it doesn't come from scraping, making the information displayed useless and the "stop fake upload if there are less than 'x' peers" feature unreliable... not that it would be bulletproof otherwise.

What does this yellow exclamation mark mean when adding torrents?
searched this thread for bang mark yellow exclamation etc but no answer.
image (https://i.imgur.com/6QuS7lX.png)

It means there's something wrong with that torrent: already added, invalid .torrent file, no tracker announce URLs, etc. The reason should be displayed next to it.

Correction: what I said actually applies to red exclamation marks. Yellow ones merely mean a torrent does not have the private flag set further experimentation revealed presence of the private flag is not a factor, or at least not the only one.

Also, mRatio can't handle .torrent files where the "announce" key is non-existent or incorrectly set to type list instead of binary. The error messages in those cases will be "no announce" and "unable to cast object of type 'System.Collections.ArrayList' to type 'System.Byte[]'", respectively. But these should be exceptional for private trackers, and can be corrected manually via BEncode Editor without altering the info_hash.

Hi,

So the recommendations seems to be to add the same port for qB and mRatio.
When I specify the qB port in mRatio I get the following warning:

I am using latest qB and mRatio versions + mRatio Fixer 7 if that matters.

Is there a solution for this?

Yes, that's necessary because mRatio may read the wrong peer_id if you have non-private torrents that actually qualify for randomization.

I'm at a loss as to what to recommend here. My only advice would be to check the official changelogs in case such a problem is known to be associated with this particular version.

Hey @anon, i have noticed that when i make the torrent as Seeding or Custom % (100) the downloaded amount is blank, it should be the size of the file so the ratio can be calculated correctly for now it shows an infinite symbol.

can this be fixed ?

Hey @anon, i have noticed that when i make the torrent as Seeding or Custom % (100) the downloaded amount is blank, it should be the size of the file so the ratio can be calculated correctly for now it shows an infinite symbol.

Someone else also pointed out this behavior recently, and my response was "[t]hat's to be expected when you add something as 100% done, since there is no download traffic to calculate a ratio from (nowadays torrent clients assume a download amount identical to the torrent's size in this situation for convenience purposes, but that wasn't commonplace when mRatio was created)".

can this be fixed ?

Like with other mRatio bugs (assuming you consider this one), there is no direct fix. Editing the .mRSave file for your torrent(s) to make the downloaded amount equal the torrent size would replicate your expected behavior, at the cost of requiring you to close mRatio, do so and restart every time you add something.

The good news is that besides keeping track of which "story" has been reported to the tracker, the only thing torrent ratios are used for is the ability to stop a torrent or change its speeds when a target is reached, and you can set a target amount of upload instead.

Currently, these are uploaded by request unless you have access to the program required for the task. Making a note for me to do uTorrent 3.5.4 Build 44632 in the near future. Since finding specific old builds of uTorrent can be relatively difficult, you can help me by uploading a copy of it somewhere.

I highly recommend checking out 35046 and the recommended reading at the bottom, to verify the emulation's request structure matches your client's. Due to how Transmission and Deluge are built and distributed, that isn't guaranteed!

You need to 1. forward mRatio's listen port in your router, 2. open it in your local firewall if applicable. The choice to do #1 automatically via UPnP is available, but I'd advice against using it, as it either relies on Windows' implementation (which may not be operational) or doesn't work at all, can't remember which. Also, UPnP is buggy on a lot of routers.

Remember that if you randomize the listen port on every startup, as is the default, you'll have to update the mapping accordingly.

Years ago I used this program to boost my upload on pornbay.org.

Now I decided to do it again but for whatever reason I'm getting an error saying "mRatio has encountered a problem and cannot continue running" and the program crashes. At first I thought it's a problem with pornbay.org or maybe the client I choose but when I started verifying those things, I realised even if I open the program and no literally nothing for like a minute, the error pop-ups anyway.

Is this program not compatible with windows 11?

Is this program not compatible with windows 11?

mRatio is a .NET 2.0 program, and therefore supported by Windows 11 in principle. You may need to use OptionalFeatures to install pre-4.0 versions of the .NET Framework, but if those weren't in your system already, the program wouldn't have started at all and specifically noted their absence.

Since you mention a one-minute window between starting mRatio and facing the crash, I'd start by running it as administrator and disabling UPnP in the settings. If the problem persists, post the error report details here and attach the crash dump file if applicable, and I'll have a closer look.

can someone help me out? I'm a little confused on how to use mRatio.

I have Azureus 5.6.1.2 installed. Now what do I need to do?

Someone please correct me, but from what I've been able to figure until now, I guess that I'll need to:

1) download torrent from private tracker, for example;
2) Open torrent file on Azureus 5.6.1.2 and download it;
3. Once it finishes to download, open mRatio and start the false upload through it, choosing Azureus 5.6.1.2 as emulator.

Other doubts I have:
1) Boss key - what is it, and why is it important?
2) Memory reader - what is it?

anon

You're already using Azureus, so why don't you upgrade to BiglyBT Extreme Mod 2.9.0.0 instead? You'll have lots of cheating features, a tutorial for everything, and no need to use a separate program.

But these should be exceptional for private trackers, and can be corrected manually via BEncode Editor without altering the info_hash.

more precisely, details?

Hi all!

This tool is a fantastic program for those like me who constantly fight with their ratio!
(I mostly grab "unpopular" torrents, like vintage series, comics and games, so never many peers to upload to with these. No other solution than pay money!... Or use mRatio! ;-))

On to my 2 quick questions:

- Is it safe/undetected to have the last version of mRatio work on 2 separate computers (and networks, so distinct IPs) simultaneously, using torrent files from the same account (hence effectively doubling the speed for upload ratio)?
- What is considered the limit for safe upload speed in mRatio? (I guess it may vary with each private tracker, but asking just in case) Up to now I've been using an average of 275Kb without problems, so just wondering whether I could still safely increase the speed further?

Thanks in advance to anyone able to help!
Cheers!

Yes in principle. This will look like two separate clients seeding from two different computers. The vast majority of trackers allows that, with the caveat of a limit to how many addresses you can use simultaneously (usually 3).

On a sidenote, be aware that seeding the same torrent with multiple clients from the same IP is not allowed, to avoid "cornering the market" abuses where no one else can get upload because you make up most of the swarm at no cost to yourself.

- What is considered the limit for safe upload speed in mRatio? (I guess it may vary with each private tracker, but asking just in case)

Your guess is correct, and therefore giving a single specific answer is impossible. See 19749.

Alright! Thank you very much Anon for your comprehensive reply.
This makes it perfectly clear as to what I should and shouldn't consider to help raise my ratio now.

And yes, I was correctly guessing about using same torrent with same IP (ie. same home network), since I assumed the point of reference for the tracker to detect cheating is the IP, right?
Hence my question about using different comps on separate networks (=distinct IPs) and also different torrent files. My only concern was that there were still one common denominator of course (the account credited, obviously).
You clarified that fear for me, so that's cool!

Cheers man! :)

You're welcome. Another thing to be aware of, and which I forgot before, is that all instances of the torrent must be at 100%. Do not seed torrent A from location X while fake-downloading it from location Y because it'll look like you're trying to download from yourself (which is forbidden as any freeleech torrent could be abused to get potentially endless amounts of upload).

I have no experience with the biglybt mod

That can be solved by reading the documentation.

it seems clients are a better choice nowadays?

There aren't right or wrong answers here, the decision depends on preference and context. Or as I said recently...

...the fact mRatio, RatioMaster Plus, Serenity and others also have a dedicated user base [vs. Extreme Mod] prove there's a fairly situational and personal element to this decision. For example, BBTEM has relatively high hardware requirements and wouldn't be my first choice for fake-seeding a few thousand torrents to get bonus points (not the mod's fault, the base client is written in Java after all).

Your virtualization program did that, BiglyBT does not install any network interfaces (let alone on the host of a virtualized system).

The interface is configurable, and I don't expect anyone to use the default settings, with the sidebar and built-in browser and featured content :pinch:

java is even more bloat so I'm not going to do that.

Unfortunately the reliance on Java and subsequent resource usage is indeed a make-or-break point for many people. As someone who last upgraded his computer on 2015 I like it as much as you do, but it's a fair price to pay in exchange for having the best and most feature-filled mod in existence.

I just wish there was a ratio tool that was up to date and worked out of the box that I could use without worrying.

A lot of people like JOAL. It's way less complex than mRatio or RatioMaster Plus by design, however. Whether that's an asset or liability depends on what you want to do.

What do you mean by that?

There are other, lower-priority bugs to address and an ambitious list of planned features, including the ability to connect to peers and get a real-time picture of swarm conditions.

I didn't realize it was the VM program that did that but now that I think about it it makes sense. I'm sure the interface can be customized but I'd like to keep the idle power consumption of the PC as low as possible so I want a lightweight client, a java program running all the time probably wouldn't be good for that, especially with many torrents. The other alternative I see is uSerenity but it's based on utorrent 2.2.1 and I don't want to use such old software, plus it also doesn't work out of the box due to technical issues with piece and torrent sizes, GGN mentioned that yesterday when they announced they will be blacklisting utorrent in 6 months.

As for Joal I have no opinion, never tried it, does it work with no issues on any sites? Can it be run along with a real client on the same websites at the same time like mratio? Complexity is not a big problem to me, I just want a clean interface and the obvious options for speed that changes every x minutes, client spoofing/memory reader, choosing your own port, adding torrents as seeder, etc. I know mratio has things like automated waffles method and flashing but I don't use that anyway.

I chekced a few last pages of the rm+ thread and saw the developer is active and working on 2.2 so that's good news at least, previously I had just seen the last update is from 2017 and I thought it was also abandoned

The 1 TB torrent and 16 MB piece limits have been a vexing issue for a while now, due to the inflation in file sizes since 2010 (we didn't have 4 GB TV episodes and 16 TB hard disks back then). Some people have been busted for emulating uTorrent 2.2.1 and then cheating on torrents they shouldn't be able to add in the first place.

Anyway, I skimmed through GGn's announcement via /r/trackers. Besides the parts about uTorrent being proprietary software and having made dubious software bundling choices in the past, all of the criticism applies exclusively to version 2.2.1, but it seems they didn't want to take any half-measures. Even if banning this highly popular client seems like shooting themselves on the foot, I can respect that and the generous time limit given, and ultimately their site = their rules.

Is there a way to run mRatio at startup minimized?

What I actually wanted was a way to make it startup with windows and also start all torrents automatically.
If not possible, I want it to at least run at startup minimized. I tried puttin a shortcut at Windows startup folder, and it does start, however if in the shortcut properties I set it to run in a minimized window, whenever it starts from that shortcut, it gives an error saying mRatio had to close.

This can be done by passing parameter -startall to the executable.

The thing is, for me to run mRatio as administrator at startup, I have to use windows task scheduler instead of just a shortcut at startup folder. I can add arguments on task scheduler, so I can use -startall. However I can't make it start minimized unless there's also an argument for that. The only other way I can think of is making a batch script with 'start /min' but it'd be best if there's argument :)

I'll look into it as soon as I can get my virtual machine running. In the meantime, I guess you'll have to settle for minimizing the window yourself (or perhaps using AutoIt or similar if automating this is of critical importance).

Thanks! The reason I want it minimized is because I mine in the same machine, and after the full LHR unlock came through, if there's a window open, it drops 10mh permanently until I reboot the PC. So that's why :(

I miss the double post merger :dabs: But there are things that must be protected.

i have downloaded the program from some other website and it didnt work properly.

People who reupload our mods and tools elsewhere do a lot of unintentional damage, since they rarely provide updates or support, and YouTube/Blogspot/GitHub have very good SEO rankings for obvious reasons... meaning it's easy and quick to find a potentially obsolete version of a program that doesn't work and/or can get you banned. You have been registered here long enough to know what mRatio's original source is, though?

not working sadly.

No details = impossible for us to help. Error message and log entry would make a good start.

Hello, I have a issue. I import a torrent file , 3.38MB . mRatio announce Overflow caused by arithmetic operation (translate by google) . Is this because the size of the torrent is too large ? Is there any way to fix it ?

Got it. A quick look shows this is a hybrid v2 torrent, but those are supposed to be backwards compatible. More details when I actually get around checking this.

Under Linux, mitmproxy can run natively, and "porting" the rest of mRatio Fixer should be easy.

@anon thus you suggest mRatio Fixer would be better/safer ?
edit: nevermind, mRatio Fixer is actually a mitm proxy to run next to original mratio

@anon sir, I'm new here. I wanted to know if there is any way to increase the per-torrent-upload-speed in mRatio. Please let me know.

Next time please provide a translation, trying to compensate for the inaccuracies of OCR and machine translators isn't fun. Anyway, the message in English would read as follows.

The magic number in GZip header is not correct. Make sure you are passing in a GZip stream.

If you aren't using mRatio Fixer already, do so (at least for the affected torrents). Otherwise, please send me a copy of some .torrent files that trigger this error.

TIL sellers are selling mRatio on TaoBao (basically the chinese ebay), advertising it as seedbox software, specifically to the innumerate. :lolhuh:

anon

mRatio is the best seedbox ever, even if its maximum speeds are low by modern standards. Let me guess, no refunds?

JohnareyouOK
29.03.23, 03:34
No idea, but according to the reporter, after searching for the software name “mRatio” and the internet told him it's a cheating tool, he went back to the seller with questions, and the seller just explained to him “being installed with this software on a VPS or server is exactly how every seedbox works, nothing to make a fuss about”. ;)

suggestion:
1. the same torrents info hash but only different trackers (load the tracker to existing torrent) .

mR
don't accept adding a new torrent with same info hash already added before and show warning torrent already added ,
but the different is the tracker name.

bittorrent
show the same warning but offer add the tracker to the already added torrent and send announces to both trackers .

bittorrent
show the same warning but offer add the tracker to the already added torrent and send announces to both trackers .

BitTorrent clients do not account for traffic on a per-tracker basis, so when you add trackers to a torrent, all of them will always get the same reports. This has led to many bans for alleged ratio cheating. Nowadays it's commonplace to automatically add a tag inside the info dictionary to make .torrent files unique, so this is less of a problem than it used to be, but can still occur.

mRatio basically acts like this to protect you from yourself. The only suggestion I have is running multiple instances, Fixer includes two methods to do that.

mR
while detect the info hash already added then do more check for the tracker is it the same or not ?
tracker is different then mR add the torrent .
The248 can do that for the future .

Everything is good but i have a few questions. Im pretty sure, that somebody told it before but:
1. On my tracker sometimes I have 'offline' status in a few torrents (there's information about getting points, only 50%).
why?
edit: my upload is updating good on my tracker
2. About seeding - when I turn off upload, I still recive points on my tracker - is it safe? I have something like 40 torrents (4 with upload).
3. Do i need to check how many ppl downloading torrent at this moment? or maybe peers in mratio is good?
