and what a lame exploration that is, designed not only just to fit in the plot line, but also served with comfortable feel-good explanations of these interactions through time, which makes them well suited for fortifying various behavioral programming available via the numerous educational/media/entertainment/... 'channels', its like reading quotes from a 'manual' for some (new-age) religion, the package shines just don't dig through the contents

because the poor soul is oh so helpless (read: has been taught to think/act that way) to change its current path, to actively influence its voyage, etc. - whereas the reality is quite simple: you are constantly & continuously changing & shaping that which is around you (and vice versa), which means everyone is already an active entity involved in this, its that thing we call 'living', one's mere existence already has an effect on one's surroundings (regardless of one's particular activities at that or any other moment) - obviously, a person has quite a large amount of power to be able to do what it does without getting thrown around by every other acting influence, which means that you cannot be so easily shaped as they suggest in the movie - it happens only if you allow it to happen (by your own actions and/or a lack thereof)

also, its rather obvious that a single influence from one point in time cannot be the major factor causing something in the future simply because there are too many influences already going on, let alone over a period of several centuries - what the scriptwriters created is just wishful thinking or more correctly hollow fantasies to suit their goals

as for the rest of the movie, it seems to juggle with too many things at the same time, the melodramatic elements seem overinflated, the cgi looks adequate, the actors should be good enough,... - remains to see whether they will be able to make it satisfactory afterall
