Using netkups as a free webseed/seedbox

Hello,

I think it's possible to use http://netkups.com/ as a free webseed/seedbox on private trackers. maybe some of you might need it :wink2:

edit: i'm testing it right now. if people manage to make it work please contribute and post your results

edit2: well I tried and I failed on private torrent site....doesn't work. webseed is not added to torrent. now trying on piratebay...

edit3: it works on the pirate bay ^^ thank you for free seedbox netkups lol

does someone knows of other free services like netkups ?

I was expecting something like that thing sharky posted, where you got a free VPS :wbite: This still sounds neat, though. So they give you a .torrent, and what you tried was editing the tracker URL?

failed procedure for private torrent site:
1)upload my file to netkups
2)download torrent file from netkups
3)create my own torrent file of my file with vuze with the announce url of the private torrent site and add the webseed url that I extracted from the netkups torrent with wordpad
4)upload my specially crafted torrent file to private torrent site.
5)download modified torrent from private torrent site
6) look inside: webseed is not there = failure

so Maybe I did something wrong at some point...I don't know. it was supposed to work.

piratebay procedure:
1)upload my file to netkups
2)download torrent file from netkups
3)upload netkups torrent file to piratebay
4) profit it works :klatsch_3:

free vps you say ? cool will try that....

Ah, thanks. I've heard about the HP Cloud service, and AFAIK, they actually ring you up and verify your reason for participating in the beta.

I am interested in a free VPS myself, not much for a seedbox, but rather setting up a small-scale VPN for when I must use insecure Wi-Fi. Bandwidth usage would be minimal, <50MB per session at most. I wonder if they'll let me in if I say that.
