Did you enable DHT and PEX for the mod? Those are required for magnet links to function. I don't think I've touched anything related to them, so they should be operative...

You'll find that as an integer called "seedtime" in resume.dat, inside the dictionary (entry) for that particular torrent. It stores the amount of seconds the torrent has been running for.

I'm not going to lie to you. Due to lack of time and general dislike of uTorrent 3.x.x, it's very unlikely that another pack will be released. Try Serenity, it's a better mod and based on 2.2.1, so it should be mostly usable.

I'm on a great bandwidth here, allowing me to download more then 20MB/s (megaByte). But yet, I'm having huge memory leakage (caused by disk overloads) and crashes with 3.1.3 even after lowering this bw and leeching only 3 torrents. No seeding of course.

I don't know if it would get any better with 3.3. or else.

I'd like to ask a few questions because of my aforementioned problems:
With speeds like this and multiple I/O can be very hard on any external device. But I have to use external drive, because I only have a notebook on the network. But,
A smart torrent download tool should balance such issues by reducing I/O threads or lowering overall download speeds, allowing cache to be written on the disk. Not crashing. So,

1. try uTorrent 1.8.5 with a disk cache as big as your computer/device's amount of RAM will allow, and conservative caching settings (i.e. disable any option that's about flushing the cache).

Not really, or at least this forum doesn't offer anything. The new versions suck anyway, but if you're concerned over how this version switching will look to the tracker, you can use Vuze Extreme Mod with a client file for the latest uTorrent.

I guess you don't. It's for those big sites where there are chances other people are also using this or similar. It was success in a TL torrent, where DHT found a bunch of seeders despite the fact it was a private one, that led me to add the mod.

Well, they won't see "this user is running a cheat program" if that's what you're wondering. Only reports in line with the mod you chose (NoReport-Seeder will show you as a seeder with 0 traffic, Multi-100x shows you with 100 times more upload, and so on).

I'd like to share some information regarding the overload issue:

1- If you're bandwidth allows you to download 30-50MB/sec you should really invest on RAM and cheap ATI gfx cards with lots of VRAMs. In my case, I was able to download with 50MB/s using 16G ramdisk.
2- In windows machines, utorrent "move" feature is bogging down everything. If you really need to move your completed downloads from one place to another automatically, you should at least do it on to different physical disks. Ramdisks are also great for being the dl location.
3- There is a great need for a serious torrent client. Features like Storage Pooling and Load Balancing and 64bit memory addressing is a must. Because the tech enables higher network BW everyday, leaving the storage tech far behind in terms of BW.
4- A quick fix for the utorrent overload issue is by pausing the client itself if the memory has some leakage. Ie, the memory usage climbs up rapidly. One can also write a monitor program for this behaviour; which would use the following pseudo-code:
if(memory.utorrent(tNow)-memory.utorrent(tNow-10000mSec))>=300000000b
while(memory.utorrent(tNow))>300000000b
pause(utorrent,300000000 mSec)

You can use VEM with auto categorize plugin that append category name to the save folder.
Or you can still using uS with antrenamer which it takes your download and move it (or copy) to a specific folder with your name according to what ever you want rules.

You didn't read the article .. Didn't you ? :D
There is three folders that will help you pass those sort of things. One of them will still has the original files (the seeded one) and the final result will be at the movies folder.

I think best way to cheat a tracker thru intercepting the traffic that goes to tracker.
So; It can be done with hooking to main app (injecting a file or hooking windows apis) or routing traffic that goes to tracker thru a proxy.

As you know, these tools, clients needs to be configured properly. So configuration and usage is crucial.

My comment refers to torrents from private trackers, where you have to create an account to download and keep a good ratio. It's okay to use the DHT-Patch mod in the (public) torrent you mention, and it may help you find peers to resume your download.

I have a noob question :confused: Am i stuck with 3.1.3 version that comes with the pack. Is it possible to have it upgraded to the newest one ? and did anyone try this on trackers which use gazle project ?

Owyn's mod is much better because it's a single program, has more features, and lets you combine them however you want instead of using hard-coded executables. But some people may only need NoReport-Leecher (based on the number of requests, that's the most popular mod) or Report-Seeder, so they use mine instead, because they don't have to configure anything.



That depends on your usage. But some of these mods (in particular, the Multi ones) can be instantly detected via scripts, whereas Owyn's always sends announces correctly and is not vulnerable to that. So I'd say his is safer too.

How good of you to admit that ! You didn't let your pride win and you fairly admitted that Owyn's mod is better with no fears. I agree on that except for one thing he needs to get the mod updated to some newer version lol.

Thanks for the kind words. You're stuck with 3.1.3, indeed, since upgrading the mods requires the entire pack to be remade. I may make one last release this year, but the interface on uTorrent 3.4.x is so ugly, you shouldn't count on it.

Using the Gazelle codebase per se is no guarantee of anything in terms of cheatability, so I recommend reading the threads for the specific trackers you're interested on.

The tracker already computes seeds/leechers. So even if you could manipulate these numbers on your end, those numbers would probably not override the numbers computed by the tracker.
I really doubt a tracker would accept that your client and your IP could possibly report x seeds/leechers.
I use VEM and Qbitorrent from the same machine/IP and the tracker is fine with that.
On many trackers I even have the same torrent seeding from 2 different IP (but the same username) to maximize upload and they OK with that.
Just focus on a really popular tracker before you cheat.

I have heard mixed reports on this regard. Compatibility problems could be caused by the executable protector I used. In that case, there's nothing I can do.

The announce string is built using a printf, and the placeholder for both upload and download is %Ld, so this can't be done with hex mods. And would be easily detectable anyway.

Something that can done is exchanging upload and download, but that would be even more detectable.

I know, these mods were so exciting :01: And at one time, the only real option to cheat with a slow computer: Shu Mod needed Java and RatioMaster the .NET Framework.

thank you for answer, i had used serenity's mod and it worked perfectly, but I notice that version 2.2.1 was allowed, so i ' m returned at uTorrent Expansion SBI Leecher Pack v17 version
