Hello guys. I am looking for TV shows which have lots of plot twists and turns. I'm talking about the kind where you never know who's the good guy and who're the bad guys. It should preferably be of the mystery, crime or thriller genre, fast-paced and have some emotional content as well. Three shows that fit the bill are Dexter, Prison Break and Spartacus. I love these shows. Looking for others like this. Any suggestions?

if you haven't seen it already "Lost" comes to mind. also "24" where they had a few unexpected moles in the team every once in a while

lost and 24 are on my watchlist..

I know, watched a couple of episodes of the wire, and it was pretty good but not great.. however the 9.6 rating on IMDb has to mean something, right!?

Don't want to give much spoilers, but that was particularly well played in season 2.

That can be a good thing, though. See Sopranos!

no the second season ended properly. when it was decided that there wouldn't be a third season they rewrote it to give the series a proper ending.
the alternate ending was included with the dvd set. it was the ending they shot first. it would have aired in case of a third season.

Uh... don't basically all series do that in some form? There has to be something making you look forward to watching the next season.

As for the thread's question, The Americans was mentioned in page one and I agree. (That and Better Call Saul are what I'm watching right now, I'll reread the threads in this section to see what I can add to the list.)

It makes sense when show continues, it doesn't when first season ends in cliffhanger only to find out it's been canceled!

Better Call Saul is fucking amazing!

And yeah, most first seasons end in a cliffhanger. While this is annoying, it's only that way because they were planning to make a second season but didn't get the funding. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have let it end that way if they knew for a fact they weren't allowed to do another season.
That being said, cliffhanger endings on shows that only plan 1 season are fucking common, so I'm not even mad. (this is to make you read the manga :) )

For those of us who have watched Breaking Bad, we have that foreknowledge about characters and their motivations, which makes the show indeed great because it tells its own story and expands on the other one.

On its own, I think people may understandably find it slow. Then again, that's exactly what happened with the first season of Breaking Bad - it wasn't until after season 2 that it really took flight.

Another good series I have recently started to like is the Flash series it starts a bit slow but becomes fun after a few episodes
