Very nice but what is that green aurora kind of thing? Is the video completely real or is it animated?

The green belt that you see in the video is/are the northern and/or southern lights. And yes, the video is real. It's not an animation, I believe. It's a compilation of video taken from over a number of days from the ISS.

With respect to your latitude, you can see the norther lights or southern lights during the night time. I used to see them just about every night when I was up north. They are not always green, though that is the predominant color. There are times when the auroras can be blood-red in color.

looks like a cgi animation pretending to be a video composed from multiple still images (time-lapse photography)

some problems:

- way too saturated colors
- way too clean/focused/uninterrupted image-flow
- way too uniform stars movement
- don't like the earth curvature (too sharp), earth seems too small
- earth lights seem too abundant/strong
- the atmosphere, clouds & earth surface texture seem too flat
- way too much light during nighttime
- too conveniently localized & uniform storms
- don't like the look of auroras (color uniformity, size, disproportion compared to the surrounding atmospheric layer, looks glued onto a layer above the surface)

conclusion: likely fake eye candy...as usual coming from the nasa illusionists
