Which forum are talking about?Do you want to get around a ban or something?

See transparent proxies are essentially useless since they offer no anonymity as such and yes, these proxies will show your REAL IP to the forum through its headers.

No, but you can ran more than one instance of firefox: http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?threadid=20200 and use AdvOR (http://nemesis.te-home.net/Projects/AdvTor.html), for example, when you log in to your forum. AdvOR will allow you to select a proxy for specific country.

Transparent proxies aren't very good because you can see through them.

Please tell me some fast proxy...

Ultrasurf - Free Proxy-Based Internet Privacy and Security Tools (http://www.ultrareach.com/)

i think guys there is a missunderstanding in Transparent proxy meaning ...it means like squid in linux a dedicated linux server with 2 interfaces ...one is facing your lan side and one facing your router side ...with this server you can take all the traffic from lan and forward it to the router with the other interface ..and control this traffic with ACL ..and prohibted pages..etc ??? and ofcourse the lan users will put in your linux server as their proxy server like 192.168.1.4:3128

In the Http-headers, the transparent proxy say 'Hey, I'm a proxy, and here is the true IP of the guy I'm proxying".

No in using only transparent proxy. But you can in some way "scramble" the real IP given by the proxy in its HTTP headers, in using this extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/ipflood/).

And if you use this addon with an anonymous proxy, you get a distorting proxy.

More info here (http://ipfuck.paulds.fr/) (same addon, just with a less politically correct name).

For anonymous fast proxy, and besides Ultrasurf or Advor, you have the addon Anonymox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/anonymox/?src=search)

Or you can use Mr Zhang (http://www.crossthewall.net/guide_eng.htm) similar to Ultrasurf, or Alkasir (https://alkasir.com/)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkasir

Or some free VPNs.

And avoid Simurgh/Phoenix (or at least be smart&lucky enough to get the non faked version) :

Mmm... no.

There are some controversies about that. :frown:

I'm aware of the controversy regarding Ultrasurf's behavior and the IPs it may try to contact, but at least it's not a virus in the traditional sense :wtongue:

Hi all, thanks for the answer but this thread was very old, and during this time what I did is use AutoProxy addon for firefox, for decide use X proxy in X website, and use the fast High+KA proxies from here Free Proxy List - Public Proxy Servers (IP PORT) - Hide My Ass! - Custom search #226266 (http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/search-226266)

So, I was hiding my ip correctly, y or n ?

Short answer: yes.

AutoProxy is good, easy to use and less mind-boggling than Foxyproxy with its settings.

What does mean "KA" for a proxy ?

With a proxy, I think it depends whether or not for example java is activated; Some request to and reply of your system might not pass through the proxy. You can test here (http://ip-check.info/?lang=en) or here (http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/ip_unmasker.php), with javascript enabled and NoScript disabled.

Unfortunately, the powerfull Metasploit decloaking engine (decloak.net) seems to be offline now. Too bad.

Edit:
I just have discovered an other site, ip-score.com (http://www.ip-score.com/), which could be a decent decloak.net's replacement for testing proxies purpose.

That it supports Keep-Alive a.k.a. persistent connections, it seems.

So, was my proxy working yes or not ? :shockkk!:

Anyway I think also u should use AutoProxy addon guys, so u can made a list of sites which use proxy and others not (AutoMode), don't use (Off Mode) and use in all sites (Global Mode) and switch between these with a button. This plug-in was very useful for me.
https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/autoproxy/ (and I've found now a version for Android phones)

Here result of Ip-Score.com, I think is working, I take this proxy from hidemyass.com (u already have link in first page) and is really fast, I don't see difference between proxy or no-proxy.

The results you gave show no reason to worry. But maybe too few reasons... Had you your java/silverlight etc plugins enabled and NoScript disabled (if you have NoScript) during the tests ?

I don't know, tell me where check these things on firefox pls. Java should be active, silverlight too, and never head noscript....

In Tools -> Options -> Content, "javascript must be checked.

In Tools -> add-ons -> extensions, Noscript (if you have it, but I think you have not) must be disabled. So for others filtering/privacy enhancing extensions.

In Tools -> add-ons -> plugins, Java, Flash, SilverLight etc must be enabled.

So, in testing the proxy, you place yourself in the (almost) "worst case" (the true worstcase would be to test the proxy with IE6).

NB: NoScript (http://noscript.net/) is a featured FF extension developed by the italian coder Giorgio Maone. This extension blocks malicious scripts and other potentially dangerous content only from the sites you visit. It also "smooth" your profile and diminish your bowser's fingerprint. Many are considering it as a "must have":

Ok, java was enabled, falsh and silverlight too, no script was not enabled. I don't have it cuz I never understood what it do... my only addons on firefox is downloadhelper for download videos, adblock plus, and autoproxy. But I was thinking about a download manager addon.... but already have Jdownloader, why I should.........

"NoScript blocks JavaScript, Java, Flash, Silverlight, and other "active" content by default in Firefox" --> why I should ? If I don't want I disable these... and I don't know nothing about how configure this addon, so pls help me^^
