hi guys, this is just a short guide and a simple one to show you how to get the best quality settings using media player classic home cinema.

Who is this guide for? its to people who got a powerful PC and want to watch bluray movies at the way it should be using a big screen TV at home.

if you have slow PC this will not be good for you but its a software so in the future anything could be posible.

what you need is the latest MPC HC : Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player (http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/)

and a video rednder called Madvr (GPU assisted): madVR - high quality video renderer (GPU assisted) - Doom9's Forum (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146228)

remember madvr is only supported by win32 so grab the mpc hc x86, once everything installed go to mpc options > output > madvr

once its dont then you are ready, open the movie at full screen and enjoy but remember you need a good pc to run these settings.

i have ati 5700 and amd athlon dualcore @ 3Ghz, everything works fine for me.

Yeah!

With madVR you have the best renderer wich exists!

Highly recommended!!

doom9 is down... so take it from here:

madVR 0.65 | Software - Digital Digest (http://www.digital-digest.com/software/madVR.html)

NeuView Media Player Professional/ (http://www.neuviewed.com/) is also good... it has pixel fusion technology.

madVR v0.66

* rewritten large parts of the OSD logic
* added APIs for media player devs to draw their OSDs/GUIs in exclusive mode
* added API for media player devs to disable the madVR seekbar
* fixed: OSD is now above subtitles instead of under
* OSD + seekbar are now drawn to full window size, not to video rect, anymore
* madVR debug OSD is now white with a dark background
* using higher internal precision for internal calculations now
* fixed a couple of bug in gamma / gamut / 3dlut processing
* instead of yRGB, madVR/yCMS are now using the measured display primaries
* improved compatability with uncompressed video files
* fixed: avisynth -> ffdshow -> RGB -> madVR produced upside down image
* fixed: seekbar showed up when playback monitor was positioned "under" primary
* simplified calibration settings a bit more

If you have an ATI card, the folowing applies:

- hardware accelerated video decoding (DXVA) is currently not supported
- hardware accelerated deinterlacing (DXVA) is currently not supported

I do advise people to try madVR to see for their selves how good it is but I don't use (at the moment).

The latest MPC-HC is updated at least once every two weeks. Always get it from here:

All betas are very stable and should not cause any problems.
