I've gotta agree. I watched one episode post downloading. I initially thought it'd be a pretty decent show; however, with the amount of sex, lust, and male-dominance/ control of women in a show like that, it just kind of turned me off. I realize that male dominance has played an integral part of societies and communities from a historical perspective ( which is all besides the point I'm trying to add to), but I just personally don't care for it either.

I initially get excited to see one of my favorite series on the big screen, and eventually walk away disgusted. For whatever reason, most shows and movies that are based on epic book series absolutely butcher the original content...

HBO makes best shows, Game of Thrones is one of their very best.
I see the first six episodes and i dont like much
When HBO announced this, I had great hopes so so far they delivered. They already approved season 2, and with plans to do one book a season we can look forward to this one for the next couple years. That is unless they give this one the Deadwood treatment. [I'm still pissed about that.]
Great episode last night, ending was unexpected. Only bad part is they skipped over the battles.
I think I might even read the books.

I watched first episode and half of the second and i got bored.I don't know what to do, to go on wathcing it or choose another tv series.

the same i felt and i'm sorry to tell you that it's not gonna change later. this is basically a medieval soap opera. if you were hoping for the fantasy part i have to disappoint you as well except for the last minutes of the last episode of season one.
I expected more thrilling scenes or maybe more action, that's why i asked if something changes in next episodes, if not, this is not for me.I am not saying it's a bad tv serial.

so far season 2 going as slow as it can...There are no epic scene so far..I am mostly disappointment in mother of dragon..I was hoping some good scene from her side..Tyrion Lannister is doing good job..Only 4 episode remaining season so hoping some battle at least or some excitement like season 1 last episode..

actually i've been waiting for such things since the first episode but all i got so far was mostly boredom v2.0 :P
the series started out rather promising (even though the first episode was still quite rough or sloppy, bordering on mediocrity) mostly due to its setting and story potential, but it soon became obvious how there is a big lack in the department of competent writing, which they tried to mask with exploitative shock-treatment (mostly lame horror elements, pointless sexual themes, excessive/bizarre situations), mystery behind 'the wall' (which didn't yield anything satisfactory), action-less 'battles' & few-men armies, decent scenery, an overdose of intrigue, baby/lady dragons and whatnot - additionally, the acting wasn't really convincing, random implausible events and overlong war-related discussions didn't help and so on
season 1 could be called somewhat decently entertaining
season 2 goes nowhere, loses momentum, its basically redundant, what once was got lost already in the early stages, haven't finished watching this season and won't continue
most interesting characters (season 1): Tyrion Lannister (dialogue, appearance, situations) & Arya Stark (could've guessed that from her name) - 'Boromir' was just average (too many 2nd rate 'medieval' roles after lotr?)
imdb rating: beyond ridiculous
for better hbo series (possibly as good as they'll ever get) see:

Some events and characters are left out.
I remember a lot of things that were in the book and not the show.
It's just that it seems as 10 episodes per season is rather low the way how books have over thousand pages!
Just watched all episodes! I like the first season very much, but this one was better in every aspect! I seriously love it! Didn't imagine it would be that good.
Unfortunately I accidentally found out something terrible about a certain character's future that makes me really sad, since I like it in the show!

I think it's still an interesting read because you get even better what people thought behind which action they took. Everything is just so more detailed. The most important things are like in the series though. I think I'm gonna read it completely. But maybe a few years after the show ended. Like I did with LotR.
And now we have to wait for Season 4, the finale was OK, not great.
EP9 was great, however a **** spoiled it for me in torrents comments...

It was really frustrating, after you wait TWO weeks for that particular episode (you know that it got delayed), someone spoils probably one of the most epic episodes of the most anticipated show in a comment? really?
Every moment I was like: "when will he die?, oh now, nope.."
As for the books, I have digital copies of them, I think I might just start reading them, but then again, I prefer to watch it instead of reading it so ...

yesterday i just finished to watch the complete all 3 season once again , if the first time i stated that it's really hard to understand the show,after watching all the seasons without the 7 days pause between episodes i understand'it very well, like'it more than first time when i watched'it , it was like an old wine :)))

I also started to read the books but because the TV shows is quite identical and respects most of the plot I decided to just watch the TV and read something else!!

And also 10 episodes per season makes it too little and goes too fast, making the directors having to cut too much from original.

really :tongue: i can't say that i'm bored watching because i like'it the way it is , but the story is moving to slow ,last episodes was cool but beside that i remember only scenes from episodes, they maked to many episodes with the trial of Tyrion Lannister mostly Babeling this season,they not even reached the moment with catelyn stark , Tyrion events after trial and the season is almoust over and for the next one we have to wait until next year

I'm boycotting the whole franchise :) not that someone cares...but I felt I had to say that :D 2 of the reasons why:
1. Why have dragons and not use them properly?
2. Whats the story with the white walkers?
If you read the resumee of the series it looks like that white walkers and dragons will be all over the place, but instead you get long hours of stupid chatting and intrigues, its like a very expensive soap opera. This is the most overrated tv show along with Breaking Bad. Only my 2 cts
I believe writer said winter will finally happen in book 6, so maybe we'll see something more about walkers. And I do agree about dragons. They should be terrorizing by now :D

Watched full season! It was a blast! My favorite season so far! Everything was really done great, even parts that are not in book at all :D

After watching the 4 episodes released over the internet ..i get the felling that i wasted my time..like in seson 4 the action is moving with zombie steps...and it's focusing about characters that are " liked" by the TV FANS but characters that they really don't do nothing ...daenerys targaryen , the spoilled teen brat that has dragons just for decor and lives in the illusion that freeing slaves it's all that mathers,after that peace comes, Arya Stark ..a sad kid..that is mostly background...because his revenge will happen and will become the greatest assasin , it will kill cersei lannister or other fantasies only if RR MARTIN will write another 27 books and will live another 200 years ...so is useless to put so many episodes focusing her story...i think most interesting characters will never have place in the tv show because we must occupy the screen with Arya, Tyrion,Dany. the Worst and irrelevant characters come from the public because They are easy to understand and liked
i this way i will see some action when i turn 50 ..in season 20 ...and i can go on bitching about this...but is useless

what spoilers ? since nothing happens ? or this is a spoiler also ... the "nothing"..i mentioned only wich characters the tv show is focusing on and finally realised the trick behind the ecranisation ,(to make u wait 4 characters that will never be put in the tv show because they are not liked by watchers ) first season was good , until the red wedding , after that it looks like a tv show on wich , David Benioff and D. B. Weiss don't have a clue where to drive the story and how..and they keep stalling stalling hopping that RR Martin will come with a brilliant ideea and they will be saved

After season 3 I was feeling this TV show was getting way too convoluted, too many characters and too many plots. I started to worry about all the possible scenarios. Is it me, or does this become "boring" in it's own way, after a while?
I mean, obviously it's not boring, but I've completely lost that motivation to keep up and watch it on a regular basis. I still have 4 eps left this season, which for me is completely unheard of. Shows like this are usually watched within the same week of release.

Only bad thing for season 7 is, there won't be that director that did last two (best) episodes!
I still feel seasons 1 and 2 are the best seasons of the show. Now they're taking a lot of the magic away: Arya is a weakling now, Sansa is a cry baby, Jon Snow is afraid but moving forward etc. No more Ned Stark, or bad ass Arya. Even that Khaleesi is just lucky and has some cool dragons, otherwise she did nothing, just people are helping her because they think she's sexy.

season 1 and 2 where the best because where the first in some sort of point view ,in the other seasos they fucked up by playing it "no risk" from viewers numbers focusing on characters that where licked by main viewers and cutting any others charcters to minimum from books ,because they where afraid , in this way resulted 2 more seasons when action was minimum and talking was maximum, i had the felling i'm watching a soup tv show or something - Arya had become and assasin -not so weakling (surprised me at the end with her killing) Jon Snow is Jon Snow but right now on the correct path with a magic bonus ,Khaleesi hope to be the ruller of IRON Throne and making some sort of pact with Winterfell ,crashing and burning once and for all, lannister familly wich was and still is the most pathetic and annoying familly in front with cersei lannister
PS : finally is using her dragons in the right way...having 3 dragons and be bitch slapped by everybody was pathetic and no logic ,people follow her because has dragons and can walk trough fire , is a power following ,not a beauty following ,but ofcourse like any other girls has 1 or 2 orbiters around

The recap and credits roll make the other seasons as long as an hour. If I remember correctly season 1 didn't have the recap. Then again I can be wrong, I must of had a copy with the recap removed from it!:stupid:

You mean the 7th season? If so then I have. At the rate by which they are moving, they'll possibly cover all the content (war with the white walkers and the rightful Queen/ruler) within the eight season. Though I'm not sure they (the writers) may prolong it to the 10th season (why 10? Most of the TV series in the 21st-century end with 10 or less or more depending on the audience. Though we can rule this one out for "GOT," based on the number of fans.)
If you are a fan/watcher then don't worry, as there's going to be some successor series.

I thought there were some good points and re-encounters in the first episode of this new season, but I was also disappointed because I heard everywhere that the episodes would last 2 hours, when it cleared didn't.

1 more episode left and i can say that whole series was made like a trailer to buy the books and read them to fully understand the whole GOT universe . finale season was on fast forward type - with many flaws in the story and based on the leaked scripts with a sad end

i couldn't agree more with slikrapid - hbo wasted 8 years from my life for nothing - i don't recommend at all the tv show after finally ended - only the books - for 2 reasons if not more - story more complete + reading is always better watching cash grab marketing oriented ecranisations

that was the most interesting episode from the whole last season - altough they have focused on wrong things and ended wit more questions that where left never explained on tv show - melisandre : why suicide after the battle ? from where she appeared in the first place on battle location ? what was with the god of light ? Aria killing the Night King - they left out the part wich actually maked any sense in the killing scene for her to be able to get so close - abillity to change her face like she did killing walder frey - disguised as a walker it maked sense - without that the scene looks like is made just to be made - for dumb viewers - with no logic + many more - i won't mention last episode wich did not dissapointed dissapoiting me - i will say only 2 things : 1 ) we suddenly discover that the dragon has a conscious brain ( if i can say that) melting the iron throne ,picking up and flee away with Denneris :rolleyes: not to mention her magical abilities that where never activated - i mean com'on - you can walk trough fire,raise dragons but you are defeted by a lousy knife like the night king + the Stark's at the end are portraited like House Lannister improved versions 2.0

I liked first three episodes, the White Walkers fight was fine, but I don't understand how on earth did they manage to finish The Night King without any explanation about his history and why he's doing all this stuff???
Last three episodes, well weren't so great, especially last one. Why is Dany so rushed to be the next "mad queen" as was her father? Makes no sense.
Honestly feels like I was waiting 9 years for a story finish, but never got it, still waiting. I do hope GRR Martin writes far better story in his books. Lets hope he lives long enough to finish them.
