Both are acceptable solutions. If you wish to see the same icon when Alt+Tabbing, make a copy of that tray.ico and call it main.ico.

Don't know if this is the right place but I have a prob with some trackers and userenity,
some of them are having tracker sending invalid data,
tried with unmodded utorrent and no probs...
is there a way to fix this and how?

IPV6 is disabled all the time
normal utorrent is working userenity gets tracker sending invalid data...
I'll try to enable IPV6 but it's only in local mode as far as I know my ISP is not IPV6 enabled...

It works.. Haven been using it on Ubuntu 10.10 x64 with wine as well as win 7 x64
if i changed the label before i stop the torrent then start it again to take effect but now i had to close serenity then open it again to take effect (stop and start not working) .

it would work for easy mechanisms like noreport or connect tracker just once, but for fakeupload and upload-multiplier it would mess things up a lot.
I think its because of ut bug ,when stopping the torrent the tracker still working not stopped (some trackers) , if some one here member at ut forum please report that because I'm not registered there.

I don't have those trackers but I can't imagine why these things should be tracker-specific...
But if you say other trackers work fine,the best guess I can make it that your labels are meddling with each other...
would like to remind you that you can allways use DEBUG version with LOGS....

So i wanna try userenity on a tracker and i want you to confirm if i understood how it works.
I have allot of torrents loaded in my utorrent and i want to completely switch to userenity.So i hope i don't do something stupid and end up banned on all my other trackers cuz this is the first time im trying to cheat lol.Using win 7 x64.Ill replace utorrent with userenity in the program files (x86) folder.Now i don't want to cheat on every tracker so there's the default profile which is stealth and there's normal one.I want to do one with upload multiplier by 2 to 3 times ( i think that's enough ) So ill name it multi.Now in order for them to work ill include for example on a tracker that i don't want to cheat "normal GFT" and all the torrents i download from there will download without any cheating right ?
And when i download torrents from chdbits ill label them "Multi CHD" and the multiplier will take effect right ? or when i don't want to cheat ill label the torrents "normal CHD"

With the default settings(no label) or "upload mutiplier"settings or official uTorrent , the uploading data on the website are correct and more than 2gb.

then you could use debug version with logs and see \ show us what is difference between (no label) \ "upload multiplier" and fake upload - uploading more than 2gb.

Nope, only after the cleanup routine runs. That's usually every 1-2 hours.
I don't see this problems so not sure if I just missed it or something on my end. But its only doing it when running Serenity and having a lable attached. I'm getting "Invalid URL" error when downloads change over to seeding (once I have 100% of the files). Is anyone else having this problem? Win 7 x64 w/SP1 and no I have not changed anything on settings for ever now (like over 2 months).

TL, right? Disregard that, the staff don't seem to know how BitTorrent works. However, they can detect ghostleeching and flashing now, so...
I'd advice you to lower your speeds.
It's bug in TL, imo. Read TL forum and you will see many people got that problem.

delete that torrent and re-add it again after you disabled dht , cause all torrents still have dht enabled even if you disabled it from Serenity settings .

Stopping the torrent with less than X leechers can't be done (yet, considering Owyn is a l337 Russian h4x0r), but you can stop the fake upload with the option Res mentioned.

FakeUpload does work.Perhaps you've used wrong settings...
Post a screen of your settings to make sure everything's right. Also, remember you have to use labels to make this or that profile apply for a particular torrent.

the only improvement that i think it's necessary is to update the label on the go, so if you want to change labels without need to stop and star the torrent.
it's suspect that someone upload on x4 and then stop and start the torrent and uplaod x10...

I'm trying for a week now and got a "invalid peer_id" error. Luckily, it was on a tracker that I could care less about. But can anybody tell me what may be causing it and how would you know if a peer_id is valid or not (using smartsniff, maybe)? I tried running the debug dll but my computer's seems to be too slow debugging that it crashes every time.

A peer_id must be exactly 20 bytes long. One character is one byte, except for anything that looks like %xx, which counts as one byte and not three. Most if not all non-printable characters shouldn't be on it (having been URL-encoded instead).

You're obviously using the wrong speeds if someone suspects the change...
Why don't you change the speeds more moderately?
A peer_id must be exactly 20 bytes long. One character is one byte, except for anything that looks like %xx, which counts as one byte and not three. Most if not all non-printable characters shouldn't be on it (having been URL-encoded instead).

I still use the shu mod of azureus 2.5.0.4 :P but it uses big amount of ram , so if it is the same maybe its time for a change

real uploader will almost never stop & start the torrent, but he will allow it to upload without disturbance.
And not only that the torrent wtill stop & start but also immediately after the start the speed will be changed (because this we restart the torrent) this is somewhat suspect .

Mostly common sense. Hypothetical situation: torrent has 50 leechers. You're uploading at 20kB/s and have set XX to 10. You'll be multiplying that speed by the number of peers you're connected to unless that's above 10 - in that case, 10 keeps on being used instead. So assuming you keep a steady upload speed and your amount of peer connections doesn't dip below 10, 20*10=200.

Wow, some sites don't update after report using the fake uplaod,
some update only half of the fake so in utoreent i see X upload and in snathlist i see X/2 Upload..

Now I sure there is a bug.
I faked again with fakeupload. at utorrent I see 10GB upload and in the tracker only 3GB (and it's not the first time, so it's probably uSerenity fault)
sadly, I don't think that I can to upload 2GB at normal at one session with my crappy internet.

I hope it helps. uSerenity is the best undetectable tool. (unless the trackers staff can pick that but in the announce. hope not)

I realized that right after it became irreversible. I remember it was in the 1500 region so I just set it to that.

you can do that by right clicking on a torrent and changing its label. works for all settings excluding fakeupload, it requires proper start and stop of torrent.

I know, but I barely use upload multiplier. because my upload speed is crap and I don't have control over it at all.
also upload multiplier never can replace ratio master and such tools, fake upload can.
I use the fakeupload options but it's not enough, for example lets say I have 2 labels options one HIGH and one LOW.
LOW fakeupload on 30 - 120.
HIGH fakeupload 70 - 260.
when I just start to download the torrent I want to put lower speeds so I want to use the LOW label.
but on finish, to change it to HIGH I need to stop & start (suspect).
also if i use 2 torrents at the same time. I put each on LOW. when I stop one (upload enough)
I want to speed up the other single torrent and change it to high. stop & start is to suspecting.

Two things I'd like to have implemented on the next version or edit if it's possible:
First: I'd like to have the fake upload speed visible besides the real upload speed. For example, we can have a column for fake Up Speed beside the real one.
Second: and this is very important like someone posted in the same thread, we must be able to remove labels and/or change it without having to stop & start the torrent.
Please, if you have free time, consider doing these changes asap.

I know it's always the one i set up in the settings manager but average upload speed isn't the same as current upload speed and i have lots of labels ready for use and sometimes i mix them with each other. Having fake upload speed visible just like vuze will solve this problem.

it's really not necessary.
i'ts not that important to know the accurate fake speed. but you can always know the max fake speed- by naming the label as the speed.
add that column looks like hard work that don't justify itself right know. (in particular when there is more useful feature he can add)

it's sounds great. except if there will be slowdown of uSerenity in some cases like many active torrents.
In that case you can add option in settings manager whether enable every second label synchronization or normal mode.
alternatively you can maybe do the label synchronization only after 5 mins or even allow the user to determine the time.
I still prefer the swift rate of synchronization because it will able to prevent cases like more upload than download (when user are still leecher) and the download speed made clear to be slower than the expected.
BTW: if you have time, you can add checkbox option of fakeupload only if there is at least X leechers (on the scarpe) additional to the option of connected peer (already uploading to) [I think the connected peers is not really important. if there is enough leechers no one can really know if they conneted to you or no, correct me if i'm wrong]
there is more nice features I can think of like auto label change when ratio is X. or something like upload target that will change the speed of the fakeupload but it's only if you have much time :)

the same way of faking upload because when you actually download something there is completed flag when you finish and became seeder.
if you fake the download the same way of the upload there will be mess with it.
also there is a lot of thing that can go wrong as opposed to upload fake in utorrent. RM is completely diffrent.

Alright. But for reference, the settings program doesn't crash in my computer if settings.dat is present in the same folder as it. Try that first and if it still doesn't work, I'll post the settings.

Haven't had a glance at version 3 yet, but with the others it was a matter of searching for "http://", ".com/" or ".php" in your hex-editor and overwriting anything that looked like an ad with NULs.
You can also bypass the installation process with the /NOINSTALL command-line parameter.

try replacing userenity.dll with one from DEBUG folder and see in log text file in same directory as program what is it doing and why if you feel like investigating your problem.
and make sure you run uSerenity and not normal torrent, do it by checking if the icon of torrent program is blue and not green.

The .NET Framework isn't required as far as I know. The settings manager does require MFC runtime libraries.

I've recently updated to the latest uSerenity (from some 2.0.4 version, can't remember now) and I have 2 little problems. About 33% of my downloaded torrents have this problem. Keep in mind most of my downloads are packed scene releases in .r00, .r01, .r02 ect. files.
So when a file is finished downloading, sometimes not all the files have the .!ut extension gone. The torrent is 100% downloaded but the client sometimes forgets to remove the extension? That's why when I extract the RARs into a single file I get and error.
To remedy this I just stop the torrent and do a "Force Re-Check", after it's done all the .!ut extensions are removed. When I updated my client I did a clean uninstall (and removed all the hidden settings files) and install of the new version, after that I set up the client looking at the settings screenshots I made from the previous version.
2) Another small problem is that I get the 'Error: The system cannot find the path specified' on some torrents (maybe about every 5th file). I know this error can be caused by long directories (over 255 chars) but this should not be the case because all the directories are the same as when I was using the old 2.0.4 version.
I think these 2 problems are related and they occurred only on the latest version. This might not be the mod's fault but maybe you could help me here? Thank you.

I have just finished investigating this on the official uTorrent forums and there are many people who get this exact same error as me with version 2.2.1. Someone downgraded to 2.2.0 and it was gone so this must be uTorrent specific bug/glitch for sure.

What do you think about making uSerenity on uTorrent 2.2.1 Build 25302? Maybe the latest version has this bug fixed (besides the many promo changes in last 5 versions haha).
I will un-check the "append .!ut extension to unfinished files" and see if this will still happen. I'm sure this has nothing to do with my path length (I use the same folders as with my previous version of serenity) and I never rename torrents.

I shouldnt use Fake upload untill I download my torrent?

Am I the only one whos uSerenity can't accept torrent from website? Says can't find uSerenity.dll, but I have one in my folder...

Thank you, that worked great. Now I wonder why could uSerenity crash 3 times today, but I've deleted logs, probably cant find out why now.
1)So.. if I use normal speed for each tracker, fake up when there are 1+ leechers on the server, uSerenity is the most safe way to cheat nowadays?
2)Doesnt let me safe new upload speeds. I put 100-400, click safe, close, start settings again and i see 100-0. Sucks. How long does it take uSerenity to apply new speeds and orders when I put new tag on the torrent?
3)Just found out that uSerenity crashes when I put uSerenity.dll from debug folder to normal one. Or I shouldnt do it?

if you allways use debug dll with logging it may and probably would crash on its own from time to time.

but make sure you don't overdo your total speed by running multiple torrents from the same tracker and close uSerenity properly (not via computer reboot\BSOD or ctrl+alt+del)

that's how wxWidgets used in it works, you have to click in other checkbox or somewhere after setting numeric values.

Gotcha. But what time does it take to apply new changes or new tags for the opened uSerenity?
I guess with right speed uSerenity is better then WM?
PS: what does No-Upload in Option stay for?

to view log files, where should I put userenity.dll? Already said when I put to main folder, client crashes, but in the debug folder - none info there.

log files = crash. no log files = no crash. log files = for testing.

Now, I got what exactly is "No-Upload" for:
Security. The laws in some countries allow downloading while uploading is forbidden.
That means that it doesnt allow you to upload real content, not fake one, to other users? But does fake one still available with that mode on?

Well, there are a lot of huge torrent packs of series or movies (for example, SCC archive). I know you can use good fake speeds there with uSerenity, but when it comes to old torrent with only partial seeders who show up like a leecher, you can not be sure it's safe. Owyn, is it possible to make fake upload with amount of leechers, who actually download from you?

Not a good idea for the following reasons.
1. what works and what doesn't on every tracker can change. And when someone uses a no longer effective profile from an outdated Serenity version, they're going to blame us.
2. there are many trackers in existence, probably over a thousand. Our cheating experiences subforum alone has more than 200 threads on it. Who's going to create all those profiles, let alone update them over time?
3. when you make things too easy to use, newcomers will demand more and more, as if they were paying us. Which they aren't, and that's an attitude I personally despise.
4. last but not least... if someone can't bother to check what works on this or that tracker, why should we do it for them?

in rm there's get seeders/leechers stats(scrape info from the tracker) as the usual utorrent client do , i don't check the box for this in rm , i wanted to do the same with userenity .
Preferences -> BitTorrent and you untick "Ask tracker for scrape information".

there are trackers that ask for older versions of ut if i used reshacker to edit the version number of userenity will this solve the issue?

DHT patch: DHT and PEX can be enabled for all torrents. Don't use it if you don't know what this means.
No upload: you don't upload anything. Fake upload works normally.

fake-upload (and subtraction of realuploaded if enabled) is fully wrote to usual "Uploaded" stat of your torrent
multi - writes stat when torrent is stopped or label changed to one without upload multiplier

there's an error with upload speed , added speed between 130-150kb/s but the max average speed is 20kb/s i left the torrent running for hours & when came back the torrent ratio was way too low .
note : i specified in uSerenity Settings.exe the speed & options , i set download limit to 90kb from uS.
edit : i removed it & installed again now the upload speed is 0 even though it's 100kb/s in settings.exe, i didn't experience that with the old one just this release.
so... could you do the debug version and show logs? also, did you specify minimal number of connected peers for fakeupload to work?
