Just one...My gf and I have a joint account...Its always been that way...
I share everything with her...my passwords,my secrets,my books...
Do you think its weird??
3 and I seem to forgotten 1.
I usually use the same email for trackers... can this prove to be a bad option?
3 and I seem to forgotten 1.

Indeed it can. Get caught on one tracker (such as BCG), then you'll be banned on what.cd, etc.
That's why we use different e-mails and IPs for each tracker, especially on high lvl trackers.
I have more than 20 gmail account.

I'm no one to judge your customs, but sharing your accounts with, hm, anyone, is never a good idea, from a security point of view.

Very very bad choice, my friend.

the reason it is bad is because it can lead to a global ban for u

Wow, different for each tracker! I understand that using different e-mails is not difficult, but what about IP? Won't it be suspicious if an IP that is used for your browser does not match IP used for your client? Also some trackers won't allow you to register (or ban later) if you use proxy, at least that's what they are saying.
I have 3 e-mail accounts, not enough as fas as I can see :(
i use 8, but have like 14 some are for personal stuff(university, social networks, msn, etc..), other are for multiregistering at trackers, i split them by a few email accounts for a little more protections. Sometimes i forget what email i used in that tracker because is like my 4th account there (normally banned due to inactivity).

With the widespread usage of seedboxes and dedicated servers, not too much. Some trackers allow downloading/seeding from up to X different IPs - check their rules or ask the staff if unsure.
Is it too late for people who provided the same e-mail address to different trackers to change the e-mail in trackers' profiles?
Not really, but some trackers log e-mail changes.
I only have 2. one is my primary, gmail, and second one is yahoo :D

I have been torrenting for many a year and have not had any problems (yet). I believe TL is the only tracker with a different email, I shall look to swap emails of other accounts in the meantime.
Thanks to this thread for reminding me to search for the correct email and password of my 3rd email address, looks like I have found a suitable replacement.
I'll fixed BCG asap since it relates to what in an indirect nature as the poster mentioned.
Thanks guys :P
Just gmail. You don't need any else with that amount of space and well managed spam system.
With all the spam nowadays! I have about 5-7 cant remember them all. Before like a few years back I only had a yahoo account but you cant survive with one when you need to change emails for trackers.
I use one account for one tracker so i have many accounts.
I have two one for all the trackers and one for just spam e-mails.

20 gmail acc for trackers with completely different names, passwords and security questions. Usually, I use 2-3 trackers on each email so that I don't have to create one hundred email acc.
For crap/test trackers you can use a Spambog address - that's been a lifesaver for me :gsmile:

That's true,
but they are sometimes blacklisted.
Those are far and between. :shifty:
This is interesting, I seem to acquire more and more email accounts and I don't really want them nor use them. But over all I have about 7 email accounts and about 4 of them are in use.

I've only got about three active email addresses. One for "legit" things, such as friends/family/school/etc. and two spam/misc addresses for things like trackers or various websites.

Huh...I'd never count 'em.
I have around 5 or 6 but only use 3 on a regular basis. One for business, one for online-activities and another one on certain specific websites.

Gmail, hotmail, yahoo, aol, and some portuguese emails (sapo, cabovisao, clix)
3 or 4, depending if i still remember the pass's. it's weird though, i have an account at gmail (seems to be the best mail i have signed to) but i rarely use it. more generously use my hotmail account because i really dont give a damn if it gets spammed or hacked. kinda like trashmail.

finally count 'em:
hundred of thousands of accs... each in one of my several pockets.
As of now I don't remember the exact. But I'm sure since I started using WEB it would be more that 100+ and out of them 70-80% of them I don't even remember ;)
gmail, and hotmail for spams
I have about 5....uhh 2 at gmail ,one at msn ect and like 3 others . One email was cancelled when i cancelled internet service all thou i had been off and on with them over the years

ĦAy, caramba!
I get frustrated when all the nicknames I can think of are taken...
oh, thats not big problem for me i use "1pw pro" to save all my accounts.
and i make not in one day the 20 account(over 7 Years). and for not loose the email accounts you can use "Trillian astra" or "Digsby", so your email provider never delete the accouts with the reason "due to inactivity" :)
Not counting those used exclusively for trackers, then 3
One for correspondence.
One for transactions.
One for job-related dealings.
One for registration on websites, so if they spam me it only goes to one account.
And lastly, one for all other misc. dealings
I have six email accounts. Too much? One for work, one for family and friends and so on...
i have 2.one hotmail and one gmail
just over a dozen here (well, 13)
a few for work, personal, trackers and 'other stuff' ;)
About 4 or 5. Don't know how many exactly :D
I use 6 for different reason's.

In chronological order:
a Hotmail I created on January 2006, after deleting my old one. You see, Counter-Strike was a very big deal back then, and a friend had suggested that I change my online nick, as I'd been having a losing streak and didn't want to get a reputation as a n00b. I promptly agreed and nuked my old account (which was called "exodia_cs1", because Yu-Gi-Oh was also serious business) as part of this transition to a new persona. I regret it now, I wish I'd kept a single address and stuck to it, but oh well.
a Fastmail I created on May 2008, because the Russian e-mail address I used as my main one had started acting erratically (and eventually shut down altogether). Despite having an inactivity period of 120 days and traffic quotas, it's survived so far. I've thought about exporting all my messages and then ditching it, but I've kept it for the time being because 1. I want to avoid making my '06 mistake again, 2. I have it registered on several important places, this forum included, and 3. they no longer offer a free service.
a live.com/Outlook account I created on November 2012 with my real name. My father had gone apeshit again, and I had this sudden realization I needed to get a job to make money and eventually escape this sort of shit, but needed a good "corporate identity" to achieve that, and the e-mail address with my '06 CS nick on its username and the '07 one in the "From" line wasn't going to cut it. I'd created a Hotmail with my real name a long time ago, circa 2002, but the 90-day inactivity period and my lack of reliable Internet access killed it. This is the one I use for everything related to my job, and to talk with people from there.
...I also have a GMail account with a government domain that was created for me on February 2013, after successfully applying for my current job and doing well on the entrance exam. I was so angry when I found out they'd made an account with my real name and without my permission :dabs: But it has unlimited storage space, yay. Almost never use this one because of a general distrust of Google Inc.
Plus a lot other accounts that got created as a throwaway, or for trackers, but I don't log in to and thus do not count for the purpose of this post.
I use the Web interface for all of them. Was thinking of switching to an e-mail client, but I need to see how well that would work to keep everything in sync when I use at least three different computers. IMAP seems to be best for this. Speaking of which, when we didn't yet have a computer at home, there was this little gadget from the phone company. It could drive up to five POP3 accounts.

Historically, 'Guest' plans were limited trial accounts funded by
advertising. As the internet landscape evolved, we chose to remove all
advertising as it began to compromise the security and privacy we pride
ourselves on.
'Guest' level accounts have not been available to new customers since
2012, with the vast majority of 'Guest' users having since chosen one of
our paid plans or discontinuing their service. Given the limited number
of remaining 'Guest' users we have decided to no longer support this
account type to help simplify our internal architecture.
We thank you for using FastMail over the years, and hope you decide to
continue with our service. However, if you decide we're no longer the
service for you we also make it easy to [take all your
data](https://www.fastmail.com/help/account/downloaddata.html).

That's a lot of Redacted over there :D
Well last year a free e-mail web service provider (also ISP) did the same here in my country (it's called IG) and I had an account there with some trackers registered using it. Was able to change most of them.

I'll have to do the same, and tell anyone who only knew that address that I should be reached at my hotmail.com box now (which has been working for 11 years straight). Looks like this is bound to happen with any provider that isn't Microsoft, Google or Yahoo. I've been meaning to give up all my current accounts in favor of a privacy-oriented e-mail service, but we all saw what happened to Lavabit.

before that they introduced some limitations, like removing the ability to send messages (becoming receive-only accounts)

yahoo had a major cleanup some years ago, wherein they deleted many unused or rarely used accounts
around 10 but may be more.Dont just like to put all my stuff to one single email, for security reasons especially
