they just love shuffling/shoveling those NWO topics, don't they? think FEMA camps, alien conspiracy/invasion (stephen hawking as the latest addition to it), north american union allusions (usa & mexico joint efforts), martial law, fear/terror/panic (oddly enough its not even listed as horror) and the like

as for the movie itself, looks somewhere between decent & low budget, with a nasty habit of hiding the monsters, shaky camera & way too dark overtones, with a thin story and virtually meaningless characters...no reason to keep one's hopes high with this one

I saw this movie yesterday. I really liked it, although it wasn't THAT good.
This movie is all about... ...its title, what "monsters" means, what they do to people and the world; and who these monsters are. Once the movie is finished, you will understand it all....

Saw it and was a bit dissaponted....i mean, i know it was supposed to be centered on the characters and not on the actual monsters but at times it felt like it aimed to be a action movie also...the final gas station scene was out of place if you ask me. There are good indie movies (see Splinter or the latest TRoll Hunter), there are a lot of bad ones (pfff don't even get me started) and then there's movies like this one....spoof and they're over.
