Hey I want to open a thread about torrentech & how to cheat there...
I donīt have experiences with cheating there.
PS: I donīt find a thread like this:biggrin:
yep it's trange that noone has already started this topic. (few EDM lovers?)
You know I used to cheat a bit but I don't remember how.
I'm sure that free leech torrents are the best to cheat on. They just ask us to cheat :)
I'll add new info to this post of mine when I try some tricks

Tracker errors are never good... what's the status message?
I'm not sure they have any anticheat scripts to be honest... I've been ghost leeching for months now and I've never been banned. Never tried faking upload, but you shouldn't have any issues as long as you don't overdo it.

in Vuze I dunno where exactly to see what the problem is. When I bring closer my mouse cursor to that blue sign it says smth like in English would be: "When seeding it means that there are no connections with any leecher. When downloading it means that there are connections with peers but tracker doesn't work "
The problem is in all my torrentech torrents. And the same was 2 months ago..nothin' changed. You guys, do you have the same odd thing?
And Donatas reminded me of what I used to do on this tracker. Yes, I also used to delete/modify tracker URL while downloading torrents. But thought it was risky :)
Ah and I'm using VEM now but only succeeded in uploading 16,2 Mb in 5 hours using "speed mode++" hmmmm...

In Vuze, you can double-click the torrent to open its details sheet, tracker status included. :smile:

As anon said, I really, really doubt they can detect it. Hell, even on what.cd they haven't banned me when I used it.

I cheat with a speed between 100kbps -200kbps

yes anon I've already looked through that nice tutorial..the point is that I'm too lazy to change my IP ...
It even worked on waffes.. but now I try to avoid ghosting on trackers with good scripts.

Yes I do!! Without DHT, with tracker problems everything works OK, there 13 seeders and speed is decent. Moreover, statistics works there fine too. (I mean the amount of my download and upload is counted right by tracker)
And now a little suprise. VEM declares that it has faked 377 mb.. but my ratio is the same!!!! (it was a freeleech torrent) I've looked the peerlist and I see that I've upped "3.31MB" WTF???
At the same time I also have faked >300 Mb on BitHQ with no problems at all.
As I said speed mode++ 15-200 kbps seems like only real upload reported o.O

Changing your IP is not a requirement, although yes a good idea.

The tracker's a bit shaky, I guess. I mean, they're already saying there's an error when it's actually working. However, care to provide an screenshot of your Extreme Mod settings?

I use RM with ĩtorrent emu and 500kb/s up!

Right. This way the mod will always fake upload, even if it isn't connected to leechers or directly there aren't any. Risky, but if you're there to control things, I think it's the best.

And TorrenTech's acronym was tT or Tt, it's easy to mix them up.
So today I continued my VEM + torrentech research. I've been cheating on 2 FL torrents without stopping of increasing fake upload with speeds 100- 300. Total amount of fake upload of these 2 torrents is 2.61 + 3.9 = 6.5 Gb.
tracker claims I've uploaded only 1.5 Gb!!
Guys something somewhere is pretty fucked up :biggrin:

Because as he mentioned above the part you quoted, the tracker isn't crediting the amount of upload he faked with the mod. However, it's hard to know who's at fault, the program or the tracker, and I think it's probably the latter.
Honestly, just look at the design of the site. A forum for a torrents site? really? :P Wouldn't surprise me at all if their tracker was buggy or if they had no scripts at all.

well... to clarify this a bit up: we do have a cheater detection (i wont say which one for obvios reasons) we are just too lazy to hunt cheaters, its not worth the effort we have better things to do, like trying to improve the site and build a nice community. ofc i'm just speaking for me and pyc, but we also have a lot of mods and not all of them are cool with cheaters so it MIGHT be a bit risky. to not piss our mods off we ban then cheaters they report to pyc or me, look up their email address and sign them in to various gay porn sites and spamlists.
regarding the tracker - thats an interesting info. maybe its a side-effect of the freeleech modification we implemented recently, which is basicly a multiplier. but maybe we created by accident some kind of AI and the tracker just cheats back. anyway - we are not reallly unhappy with this and since it works good - for whatever reason - there is no need to change something. :p

Because of the huge swarms of Torrentleech i would say something like High download speed 4MB and slow upload speed on popular released something like 100-200 during the download time, after raise to 400kB and keep it for how long number of leechers is decent.
You can't check the tracker swarm if you aren't Uploader or Higher so you got that disadvantage, anyway they aren't that bad guys for cheaters, i find hard to believe you can get caught there without being really stupid.
I Suggest Mratio to cheat there if you haven't a real high download speed for faster cheating (or if you don't want to download anything anyway).

I never cheated there. If you jump on freelech-torrents and seed it for a while you can get a great buffer! Iīve done so.
