the green boredom is more like it, whats with the obsession with green stuff lately (green hornet, lantern), could it be related to the green agenda, the recent and future ecological/environmental 'concern' spreading like an infection where everyone has the need to green-ify or de-carbonize themselves or chase some windmills, participating in the latest craze, gladly embracing a new way of easing their new-found guilty conscience without questioning the origin, validity or goals of this global movement, not even when some of the loudest champions of green are at the same time the worst polluters around

btw the movie likely exploits the name 'kato', that was used in older comedies featuring the pink panther, being the name of clouseau's asian companion (with a habit of making surprise attacks after hiding in unusual places)
