BBox is a free music player for Windows that looks more like MS Office than a music player, thanks to it’s ribbon based interface. In fact, it’s the first media player I have come across that sports the ribbon.

BBox lets you play, edit, convert and manage audio files, rip CDs, and also enjoy online radio stations.

The program interface has various collapsible sections like the library, Queue, player controls, album information, equalizer etc, all housed inside the program window. These can be set to display or hide by clicking the appropriate buttons on the ribbon.

To start using BBox first you have to add folders to the music library and let the program index your music files. Once that is completed you can select songs from the library and add it to the queue window, which is the playlist. Filters let you quickly locate files in the library for playing.

BBox has several tools like an MP3 tag editor with advanced auto-capitalize options, CD ripper, Internet Radio player with built in stations, and file organizer that lets you relocate you music files according to artists and album and automatically rename them by track name.
