if you ever wondered where this silly story about rabbits & eggs comes from see this:

the spring/fertility goddess Eostre and the Germanic Ostara are both said to have saved a bird whose wings had frozen during the winter by turning it into a rabbit. Since the rabbit had once been a bird, it could still lay eggs, and that egg-laying hare became our Easter bunny...

In the earlier Babylonian version Ishtar comes from the Moon in a giant egg...

In the ancient Egyptian mythos, Isis is fleeing from an enemy while in the form of a phoenix when she changes into a hare to escape down a rabbit hole...

Germanic/Christian Easter tradition of feasting on colored eggs after a long fast at lent, but the B.C. origins of Easter celebration again come from Egypt, where the “eggs” were well-known to be not eggs, but budding baby mushrooms.

as it turns out most people have no idea what they are really celebrating or what does it all mean
it is quite unusual that such basic things aren't being taught by our 'praised' educational system, or is it? ;)

btw. remember alice in wonderland, the rabbit hole and similar quotes from the movie matrix and so on

Christmas is another holiday that has interesting stories. It seems like different cultures have a different mythos surrounding the holiday and St. Nick. Some are quite amusing.

christ mass, a bit obvious, eh?

if one digs a bit deeper and cuts through the metaphors, all? those 'myths' have striking resemblances and may be actually telling the same tale through the ages

what i find disturbing is the masquerade used to hide the true meaning, keeping people unaware of the deception, similarly to the habit of parents that tell stories to their young children who later on find out it was all fabricated

Well yes, this world is a pathetic big lie, and we are all told otherwise when we are kids. I guess we can not handle the truth so young, and most parents will be concerned about that and just let us enjoy our childhood, after all, we will be all disappointed when we grow up
At least is how I feel.

Anyway I see your point and you seem very educated in your opinion.

aww.......c'mon.

Let's have some fun.

I'm not always afflicted with 'happy happy-not not' syndrome. Hopefully no-one will find out and lock me away in some old corner and keep me away from everybody.

There's too many chocolate and environmental factors involved.

besides, I'm lucky. No-one's yet isolated any of my Seal-Human genes.
Yaaaa....I get to keep them myself.
