Plot twists can only do so much to the same old story. I'm actually amazed it went that long.

seasons 4 & 6 were the ones showing lack of ideas or outright unbelievable (over the top) solutions, interestingly imo in season 5 it had its highpoint, which lead into a continuing decline - nevertheless, an innovative series in its beginning, worth the time (spent on watching it)

i liked all seasons. don't know many series with that high a avg. level throughout all seasons except the current season 8 which is a bit weaker but again compared to most other shows it's still terrific :D

All seasons were entertaining, though it was getting less interesting with every season. Lol, and Jack's interrogation methods was simply screaming (House) :biggrin:

I have to agree with most of whats said. When 24 was first out it was very exciting but then it sort of got less exciting. Maybe they are just giving it a few months rest just to start fresh later on.

I don't think it'll be a good call... picking up other channels garbage? they'll just cancel it after 1 more season, look at Veronica Mars..

Imo first 2 season was amazing. after season 4 I didn't watch it.

the break may be good for getting an overview on the series, to see what went wrong with it, does it make sense to continue and so on, without being pressed with time limitations/constraints

but then again, there aren't many series that managed to stay fresh after some 7,8 seasons, so i guess it will be tough for 24 to keep up a satisfactory level of entertainment - hopefully they'll manage to reinvent themselves :biggrin:

comparing season 8 with the rest would be enough to see where they should improve a bit.
but anyway the standard is still very high so even season 8 beats most other series imho

I really like first two season great story,Great acting and lot's of politics..
After that it always felt same to me..
Anyway it's new start for JACK to do with future..
