Word Association Fun Thread
This thread is to add some fun here on SBI. Its also for those people who like a little mind bending.
Remember that this is not like a psycological test or a revelation of the inner workings of your mind. See it as a test to see how far you can push the boundaries. It is challenge of thinking outside the boarders. This is just some fun and you can use any themes and see how far your wits can go.
Mix and match your associations and let your mind run wild. If you like you can even write up a reason underneath for your chosen association if you think it is really obscure.
The 3 completed examples in the first post was given a 3 separate posts. Whoever wants to play may give just one if you feel like it or give some more if you also feel like it.
There are no concrete association rules nor how many replies are to be given. But generally the difficulty lies in guesing the theme of the previous post. If you decide to give more than one reply you can use that to build upon a more complex theme as slikrapid has done in post#3. Or just give one reply as said before.
It is up to the replier
Either continue the theme with one reply or
If they choose continue the theme with many repies with the same theme all with the same theme or
With more than one reply touch upon the previous post's theme and weave a different path with a new one.
This is not purley a associatioin exercise thread. If you want to elborate and comment on your own work or someones eles's work go ahead. Since there is a numbering system in place, we can use this to keep track of where we left off for those wishing to continue the associations.
It works like this, and I'll start :biggrin:
eg 1
Water is to thirst as Energy Bar is to?
==--
eg 2
Energy Bar is to Exercise as Pen is to?
==--
eg 3
Pen is to Scholar as Scholar is to?
==-
(Now the person joining on would write (fill in blanks :wink:)
Revolution is to ( ) as ( ) is to ( )
Now its your turn...
