i figured there should be a thread just like the movies thread but for tv-shows.
so what did you watch recently? and how would you rate it?
so let me make the start:
desperate housewives s06e11.
6/10.
too much soap parts compared to the earlier seasons.
I'm currently watching Naruto. I give 6/10, mostly cuz it can get really boring!
I have actually started watching Dexter, I'm on s01e10. Pretty good so far, but not to hard to foresee :/

Yes its naive, yes its stupid, but funny, you can not get bored because each episode is short.

Styled to be like Frank Miller 300(which i consider to be a poor movie with elements of Gladiator).
Adult content, adult language, nudity violence, blood, comic like style.
Half naked people running in the snow like it was Summer, long and boring monologues. Blood splashing ridiculously. Always the same sky, home made like edition, endless cursing and more. Even John Hannah performance won't make it. IMHO 1960 Spartacus with memorable role of Kirk Douglas beats Spartacus:Blood and Sand with realism and intriguing plot... My point of view on Spartacus:Blood and Sand - foobar and ridiculous time-waster. BUT if you enjoyed 300(de gustibus non est disputandum)you may even enjoy it...

Personally, I don't find threads like this or "what's the last movie you've seen" useless or postcount-boosters.
They have helped me find new things to download.
gona keep adding up then with short explanation what i saw etc.
Vampire Diaries S01E12
Pretty neat serie if you are in to vampire stuff. Great effects and not a bad play from almost all of actors out there. Personaly after Twilight movie (which i didn't like) that serie filled up my space of "vampire movie need" for a while till next "dracula" or next "Interview with vampire"

The Vampire Diaries is an interesting show. So far 12 episodes on their first season.
In this world, there exist people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform one object into another. These people are known as alchemists. This process does come with a cost though, the basic law of alchemy states that in order to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value.
The main character is the famous alchemist Edward Elric - also known as the Fullmetal Alchemist - who almost lost his little brother, Alphonse, in an accident. Edward managed to contain his brother's soul in a large suit of armor. While he did manage to save his brother's life, he had to pay a great price himself.
To get back what they've lost, the brothers embark on a journey to find the Philosophers Stone that is said to amplify the powers of an alchemist enormously.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a re-telling of the story from the manga point of view.

I am watching "24". It is currently at episode 5 of 8th season. It is, probably, one of the best TV series ever. Fantastic directness, deep characters, out-of-this-world plots and all that filled with fantastic, realistic action scenes.
The first season of show is arguably the best TV series season ever produced and recorded. It can be only compared with "Twin Peaks"'s first season or Lars von Trier's "Riget".
Totally phenomenal.
P.S. I am also watching LOST. Sixth season just started, I don't expect anything - we'll see. The show didn't deserved it, as I am not patient with novice cameraman's and poor atmosphere. It is very poorly directed. I was thinking about stopping it - but I will be patient until the end.

Yes, it can be funny.:biggrin: Though, I experienced that human organism in very stressful situations doesn't function normally thus having no regular needs... And, ever season of "24" lasts only 24 hours, one day.
The answer is: It is possible. :smile:

Third episode was mediocre - jokes were difficult to digest. Fourth was really poor. Fifth it i a bit better. But after all this TV show is nothing special. To watch it i suggest 720p so at least something entertaining for an eye. After first two came enthusiasm, after fifth came disappointment.

Good as usual. Cant remember seeing any normal looking girls in this show. Every girl seems to be hot, even the ones walking in the background.

It's pretty alright. A bit grittier than the original, and it kind of follows the manga, albeit at a very slow pace.
