desktop snapshot

Is there any program thats a freeware that takes a snapshot of your desktop.. or can it be done just copying your desktop using basic window xp program...

You can handle it with your standard windows applications.
Press the "Print" key on your keyboard if you want to create a snapshot. After that you must start "Paint" or a other kind of software like that one. There you can insert (STRG+V) the snapshot of your desktop which you've recorded before.

Or did i understand something wrong...?
