I don't think it's beta anymore. It already had free signups and a lot of members got in including me.
Still nothing compared to RMT
Nice review btw.:top:

relatively nice tracker, yet with (sub)par amount of torrents (agree with SBfreak on RMT)

a few months ago they had a long downtime (a few weeks) so the userbase is still growing since many thought it was dead for good

also their design changed for worse (previously it was easy to distinguish between scene & non scene torrents), now its a tag-based description which can be vague to say the least

i was hoping they would grow larger & compete (for the user benefit ofc) with RMT but its still a long way to go for that

cheating was easy before, but not sure how it is nowadays, would be nice if someone had some info on that

btw. looks like 'many' tracker reviews come without cheating advice which should be of primary interest to our members

I don't mean to derail things, but I feel out of the loop.

What's RMT?

What's RMT?

It's also known as Metal.iPlay.ro. You can find a review here (http://www.sb-innovation.de/f210/rmt-12327/).

unfortunately the site is closed, this time probably for good :frown:

they gave a hint that something is being prepared, like a new site, so who wants to know more might want to keep checking the blog (link below) from time to time

MetalBits.org Has Closed

February 26th has come and gone, the site is now closed. The tracker was turned off first, backups were made of the user & torrents db then all user classes and members were removed. You may still see a login page until the DNS expires and your cache is cleared, but no accounts exist on the site any more.

The staff of metal-torrents.hopto.org have offered their site as a refuge for members, see the comments in the first update for news from Berzerker. metal.iplay.ro have also opened their doors to all MetalBits users and a staff member is in IRC for those wanting an invite.

Staff will utilize the server still for working on the new project

We hope you will continue to follow our blog & IRC channel during the hiatus and we’ll do our best to spread the word when our new site is available to the masses. We plan to pick many dedicated users from this site to help us beta test and prepare the new site for launch.
