to be honest, I use bing now. I love the way it can show page content without clicking links, and I don't have to go through 10 pages of crap to find what I'm actually looking for.

I've been a fan of google for many, many years but I really can't stand the fact that it's full of sh*te that I don't wish to see now. Such a shame really. I don't like change, but I'm feeling the pull for bing..... :( it serves me extremely well, just like google did back in '98

knivestv, have you tried Scroogle? It's Google, but without the shit you mentioned. Features are limited though, you can't search for images or use "define:" to get definitions, for example.

If you use a proxy and disable cookies Google is more or less usable :yelcutelaughA:

Well, I'm not a privacy-maniac and, besides, it seems to me that Google always finds what I'm really looking for. I don't know if this happens because of cookies, IP tracking or shit like that, but I'm pretty fine with that :biggrin:

I had a look at that Scroogle. It does filter a lot of things out quite well.

I still prefer Bing though. The page preview is fantastic. No more clicking back, forward, back, forward like I used to do with Google.

Question is, how come Google hasn't figured out a way to copy Bing with this feature? Seems like they are being a bit slow to catch up on that one.

It's the one feature that I just couldn't give up now that I'm used to it being there.
