Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)).
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm)) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!
Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php)
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.
Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.
Single Exe version (All in One)
Single Exe version doesnt need Vuze installed on your PC just download, extract and run the exe. Only java is needed to be installed.
Additional Info:
You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.

I have a question:
What is this "Custom ID" beneath the Perfect Spoof option? :rolleyes: I don't use this option, this is important for the client fake?
If you set a custom ID you can be sure you have a unique one, so it's safer to use this option but it isn't a must.
Extra note: it's only available when spoofing uTorrent.

if perfect spoof isnt activated. I will be seen (by trackers) as having version 4.0.0.4 ?
even tho my vuze version is 4.2.0.4 ?
If you don't activate the PS, the tracker will see the version displayed on the left bottom of the window.
It will always identify itself with what is shown in the bottom left.
Also your Vuze version is the one the mod is based on, no matter which one you had installed before. :wink2:
Only if you use a Mod based on a Beta or CVS, then spoofing the latest final is hardcoded, at least it was like that in the past.

Think, I will be playing with some of the other emulation this week since TVTorrents, remove 1.6.1 on its tracker and I don't believe it's possible to emu multi clients per torrent file.
I will let you all know what I find out.

You can't, but it's possible to run two Azureus instances with different config folders and spoofs. Read this (http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Commandline_options#Path_Options) to know more. :smile:

Any chance we could have this speed mode++? It would be very useful for people who fake with the show as seeder option since the ratio is at ∞ when you jump in as 100% completed.

The stop faking when the ratio is reached won't work if you fake on a torrent that you did not download because the ratio shown is infinity ∞
Most of my Vuze Extreme faking are jumping in directly as a seeder (100% completed speed mode++). I also use the stop when swarm speed is zero, but there are instances i overfake a little because of the ∞ ratio.

loocking in the commit log they did something with the osx part maybe the newest beta will work for you on friday.

Greetings
I have Installed Vuze version 4.2.0.4 stable. Then have copied files found in SB-I_Hack_Azureus2_4.2.0.7_B01_DDJ folder except plugins folder to vuze main folder. Then added sb-I plugins folder contents to the contents of vuze plugins folder. And nothing worked for me.:confused:

The images look fine. What doesn't work?
If you're wondering why it doesn't fake, you're Peer/Seed ratio is less than 10%, that's why.

thanks anon & shoulder for your fast responses. So are you advising that I turn Peer/Seed ratio to zero. or wait until it finish downloading then the peers would be more than seeds. And are you sure that my Installation steps are correct.
Well, setting both "stop increasing the fake upload when you are connected to less than X peers OR having a peer/seed ratio lower than X%" values will make the mod always fake - regardless of how many leechers! You could either reduce the values, or keep an eye on what's going on. :wink:
You installed the mod correctly, no problems there.

O.K. anon is there any way for me to know what torrents sb-i mod is faking?
Enable the Fake Upload Speed column. If the speed raises above 0.0kB/s, it's faking.

That doesn't work. Problems should be solved in the forums so that others can benefit from the solution as well.

I'm on Snow Leopard also on a Unibody Macbook Pro, i cant double click torrents to open them, says not a file, and also the torrents dont start, they say downloading but no speed what so ever

Sounds like you're missing some JARs. I'm not experienced with Macs, but there's a tutorial on how to install the Extreme Mod on them in your FAQ & Tutorials section - have you read it?

It's nice to be back, was out of the US for a few week (family matters) and then just dealing with stuff around the home front.
Anyway, Update on Emu status. Not much good BT stuff out over this last week or so (so not DL much). But
uTorrent 1.6.1 w/custom ID changed at lest once a week - Working fine
BitTorrent 6.1.2 - Will not connect to seeders (believe its a bug in code).
Deluge 1.0.7 - Connects to a very low amount of seeders (like 1-5) even if there are around 50+ or more.
Trackers tested on:
uTorrent - TL (fine), ST (fine), TD (fine), TvTorrents (does not accept 1.6.1-1.7.7) Must use 1.8.x version. BakaBT (fine), TheBox (not tested yet).
BiTorrent - No ban on any of Pre-Stated Trackers ( but would not connect to seeders).
Deluge - No ban on any of Pre-Stated Trackers, Connects to a very low amount of seeders though.
More info as testing continues.
The connection problem with BitTorrent and Deluge is normal:
yes, thats a known issue...
some clients* use a newer lte-protocol, but azureus has still the old implementation and can't understand some encrypted messages.
-> if you have the encryption enabled and use a client with the new protocol e.g. ut 1.8.1, azureus wont be able to connect to other clients, which have the new ltep implementation too.

Yes, that's the main toolbar. It can be shown by going to View and ticking Toolbar.

neither. I have it set almost identical to the settings in your guide. except i turned off the hit and run setting. there is 14 peers on the torrent, and i connect to them if i stop than start the torrent, but then i end up disconnecting form them without real or fake uploading. no idea whats going on. nat is ok. torrent has a blue face.

sorry, what setting are you talking about? I have 18f checked, but i dont think thats the problem since it says the swarm speed is like 500 mb.
I meant 13. Set both of those settings to 0 if you haven't already.

Yes, since it'll fake even if the torrent has 0 leechers. But it's better than having to wait until you connect to enough leechers or the peer:seed ratio is good enough, I think.
You can post a screen of your settings, perhaps there's something you've overlooked. :smile:

Your settings look fine, but remember those are the global ones - every torrent keeps individual settings, you can check them by double-clicking it and going to the SB-I Hack Fake tab.
But if they're the same I'm not really sure of what could be causing your problem. :confused: Perhaps you're doing fake preseeding without the files, or have already reached your fake ratio?
Another user reported a similar issue, but that was on MacOS.

I don't think that's causing the issue, but a Java reinstall wouldn't hurt. Remember to use JavaRa (http://raproducts.org/javara.html) to remove leftovers from your current JRE before reinstalling.

ok, i will. I tested 2 different things. changing save destination off of my external hd, and changing client emulator. neither worked, so i will try older version of mod.

Real seeding goes to the "Upload Speed" column. Fake upload goes to the "Fake Upload Speed" column.
LOL,, didnt even see those. well, my fake upload speed, and fake downladed amounts are the same. as well as the fake ratios. they are all very low, even tho i set my ul speed to like 500.
EDIT: now my fake upload speed is way higher than real one. i guess i fixed it? lol i didnt change anything tho. and i noticed that the other torrents WERE fake uploading, lol. why weren't those columns added from the begginning. sorry for wastign alot of your time anon, lol.

As long as there are leechers, and they are real leechers (i.e. NOT partial seeders), it's OK to do that. However, be sensible - if there are 2000 seeders and 4 leechers it'll be easy to spot you faking.

Since i installed OSX 10.6 azureus version 4.2.0.7 isnt working any longer.
since i am new here and have no "member"-title, will there be a a version of azureus 4.2.0.8 or 4.2.0.9 for osx that is downloadable for non-"members" ?
i am waiting desperatly for this great mod to work under 10.6 :)

thanks for the mod..i had a quick question, are there any big differences between this version and the vuze mod that shu puts out? i see this is based originally of his mod but i was trying to find if there are any big differences? i've been using utorrent and am looking to make a switch and was unsure which one to grab. thanks!

Well, basically this one can spoof other clients, and also has a few more settings, like "stop faking when swarm speed is zero" or two extra No Report options.

been having trouble with vuze and snow leopard.. seems like an acknowledged issue, hopefully the next version has the fix!
4.2.0.9_B04 solved the Mac issues. Since you don't have the Member user title, you'll only be able to download it when that build goes stable.
next stable version will go public since the problems for mac users are now fixed.
Hi all, good to be here.
Hopefully the next stable version will come anytime soon because I've been searching for a proper app/mod combination since Snow Leo got released.
In Leo I used the old Azureus 2.3.0.4 (or something like that) with the old shu-mod and it worked very well (along with the 4 popup errors)
I could not show details tab though (was blank) so I couldn' DL seperate files from a torrent.
But now in Snow the up/down doesn't even start with Azu or Vuze. It says downloading but no in/out. I've replaced all the proper files except clientspoof but no luck.
I'm using the Transmission Ghostleecher version for now but it doesn't work as it supposed to. When using 1kb as UL speed and 1,5 ratio the DL speed is very slow but when using 10k it ups in peaks (for instance from 5 to 500 K)
So the DL speed is very unstable but the ratio seems to be working.
However I would like to get back to my good old Azureus (Vuze) and go on with my business instead of trying to find the right app/mod.
Thx for providing us these mods btw, couldn't do without them anymore!

4.2.0.9 solved the Snow Leopard issues, the next stable version will go public soon.
Update on Snow Leopard issue:
Downloading from Vuze HD network tab seems to be working, tried it with that Frankenstein trailer and got a fake up ratio and good DL speed.
So the issue only seems related to private trackers?

Perhaps Vuze Inc. has some content servers/HTTP seeders seeding their material and the problems with peer connections don't affect those... I don't use the Vuze UI or its services so I couldn't tell.
I see 4.2.0.7 is released but no access to it?
Oh well, Transmission Ghostleecher seems to be doing a good job now anyway (upped the real upload speed to 10KB instead of 1KB)

habe mich jetzt auch mal an diesem tool versucht, aber irgendwie hab ich noch ein problem. trotz NAT OK bekomm ich kaum verbindungen zu anderen peers. woran könnte das liegen?

ich nutz utorrent 1.6.0 weil neuere versionen nicht erlaubt sind, kann es damit zusammen hängen? vllt in deutsch antworten, da mein englisch nicht das beste ist ^^

zwischen ut 1.6.x und bittornado sollte es allerdings (rein von der funktion her) keinen unterschied geben...
wieviel peers hat denn dein test torrent?
leider nur 4 peers. mit uttorrent 1.6 hab ich nur eine verbindung bekommen. mit bittornado sind es wenigstens 3

Then you haven't forwarded your ports correctly. Go to PortForward.com for help.

i cant forward any ports, i dont have access to the router. so i need to find some open ports and use them instead i guess.
Even if a port is open, you also need it to be forwarded to your IP. Did you already try some default router passwords like "admin" to see if you can still bust in and give yourself a port?
yep i tried admin root etc... but no luck so far. the router model is ZyWALL USG 300 if it is any help, do u know any other way to enter the router like a default backpasss or a fix for firewall problem?

But uTorrent 2.0 has an UDP hole punching feature, which makes you connectable even if you're NATed. You won't have all the cheating features from this mod, of course.

Well, give us more details. Is the perfect spoof enabled? Perhaps you're using the "stop faking when swarm speed is zero" option? Posting a screen of your settings would be nice.

Have you set both "stop increasing the fake upload when..." values to 0?
Also if you set these settings globally they don't apply to already running torrents.
Set them to 0. This way the mod will fake regardless of the amount of [connected] leechers. Sounds risky, but if you keep an eye on what's going on, you'll be fine.
And yes, make sure you double-click the torrent to set this instead of going to the global settings.

It makes you use the last amount of upload you faked if you disable cheating. Keep your hands off that. If you disable cheating, it's most likely because you don't want to cheat, right?

Better use the classic UI. It's the same without all the unnecessary Vuze stuff.

Oh, you mean point 18h in the pic.
18i is the speed the mod will use when the ratio is reached. Normally both values are set to 0 to stop faking.
18j are the actual speeds you'll fake at. If you want to cheat at three times your upload speed, set them a bit below and above that, I suppose.

If you want to fake at 3x your download speed (which I wouldn't recommend, by the way), you'd need to set the first value a bit below 3x it, and the second one a bit above 3x it.
To make this easier: if your download speed it 30kB/s, set the first speed to 80 and the second to 100.

1. If you use the single EXE, you can run the mod from any folder.
2. After all the new improvements it should, but if you don't want to lose another account, don't try it and wait for feedback this time, or spoof an open-source client.
3. A custom ID minimizes your chances of getting caught, but it's not necessary to use the spoof.

This one works very well for me on Vuze 4.2.0.8.
I was on version 4.2.0.5 B01 for a little while, and it was also very good. I like the new option for swarm speed on 0. That's a nice little touch to stop the faking getting out of control.
Until I found this place, my ratios took weeks to recover from. I have 16MB Adsl with only 256k upload! It's horribly restrictive. Now my ratio can be corrected in a few days instead of a few weeks.

If I remember correctly, it has some glitches v4.2.0.9 fixes. The stable version of that one will be made public.

There was also the problem of downloads getting stuck, but that got solved on 4.2.0.8.
About the association, I remember torrents could still be opened via the File menu, so it isn't a big deal.

You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.
You shouldn't be losing your torrent list when upgrading in the first place.
@coldasice: I think anon suggested what he did in post #164, in order for you to recover your list and do what you have to do, i.e., take note of them, and if you still want to seed the finished ones, you can re-insert them in the new version and do a hash re-check and get back on business again. Same goes for the non-finished ones, i.e., you insert them back, do a hash re-check and resume from where you stopped them. :top:

and use the download.config. it works fine but when i patch it with the hack it does not work....

ROFL I could feel Anon's frustration from half way around the world so I thought I'd chime in and say I've been following this board since the day it opened. I'm not around very often, actually I had an account and a post or two, tried to hit the live chats the few times I could given the time zone difference, etc. IT'S A FALSE POSITIVE get some real anti-virus, scan with a complete set instead of just one, etc. There is nothing wrong with the package, you didn't heal anything, you're misunderstanding the situation at hand.
I'd expect this bullshit from seba but the bar is raised around here quite a bit and it's sad to see people benefiting from the work of the developers and the mods on this forum only to turn around and complain about something they don't understand to start with. As for the site Admins, damn wish I would've kept posting before my account got cleaned for inactivity so I could grab the newer title only copies and keep testing instead of using these public versions.

Because when you insert a mod, it overwrites the original files, thus reporting as 4.2.0.4 and it will the one used if no spoof options are chosen. After setting up a hacked version you shouldn't enable auto-updating anymore, as it would download official files thus invalidating the hack.

When a version introduces new parameters to the config file, the torrent list will be lost. It'll be overwritten even if you put a backup after upgrading. I think there's nothing you can do...

You can get it higher if you want, but do it at your own risk.
Stop transfer -> go to tools, (options/preferences) -> start transfer -> go back to the tools page with the speed limit of 10k and start adding a couple of 0(zero)'s at the end. Speed will go up for good 5-10 seconds. If it wasn't enough -> repeat same steps with more 0's

I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. Speed++ mode has this "safety" by design. If you want to flash, use the appropriate tools or use fake upload "ratio mode".
The 10MB/s thing is a security measure to prevent you from screwing up. There are other tools you can flash with, so I don't see the problem.

Well, you could set the "stop increasing the fake upload when..." values at the top to 0. This will make the mod fake even if there aren't any peers. Remember global settings won't apply to already added torrents.

Remember fake upload won't show up in the Uploaded column, but the Fake Uploaded one. You can add the latter by clicking the paper sheet icon in the toolbar.
If after that the mod really won't fake, do a clean install.

i got a part name fake uploaded 156.8 kB & fake share ratio 0.050 its now .its shows in my torrent view..also..when i add torrent it just shows me that i upload same amount of torrent size..without uploading with vuze..i do it with rm

Make sure you're renaming the JARs correctly if you use the JAR version. If using the single EXE, just drop it to a separate folder. Make sure you've deleted the %appdata%\Azureus directory!

reinstall Vuze (again)

maybe, but darwine is anything but reliable. wouldn't risk my accounts using that.
anyway the method insane suggested works. just not very accurate but an exact valü like 5gb ain't good anyhow :D

OK, the renamer will only cause trouble, then. :biggrin:
sometime when i use the shu mod it skips the shu and uses the backup (which is the actual one without the mod)
so what i do is, i copy the mod and rename it, so both are modded versions the mod and backup, this way i know for sure it will load the mod. It's always worked for me. :)
If with "Shu" you mean the old Shu mod, that problem is known - you must rename the backup to something that doesn't end in .jar.
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak

lol i never read up, i used to think it was just my comp or something, and making both azureus files the mod worked for me :)

btw, will the mod work with Azureus 4.2.0.7 beta 7 or later versions like 4.2.0.8 or .9 ?
Since the mod is "melted" with Azureus, which version you install it over shouldn't make a big difference.

Too bad, coz i wanted to use the 64 bit java but i guess vuze just doesn't support it correctly.

I have an annoying problem i want to get rid of !!
Since Vuze HQ put addware in their software "vuze donation" "Feature" i frequently get the vuze donnation window in my face when starting vuze application !?
Is there a way to disable that somehow through vuze !?
According to Vuze forums it only should appear just once and no more afterwards!!?
But doesnt seems to be right , not in my case :rolling_eyes: !!?

If donations.donated doesn't exist with that exact name, create it as an integer. After that, set it to 1, File -> Save it, delete azureus.config.bak and start Azureus.

Iam just done whit everything.. And i already have backed up the backup files :biggrin: just to be on the safe side.
It seems i have the "donations.donated" integer set at 1 after all, no need to add an integer this time :wink:

using vuze mod for manydays but banned from waffles for the first time.it is my new account so no problem.
banned from waffles trying to spoof as utorrent 1.8.1.I had also used custom id.
tried this option for the first time.
they had said in the irc that i am using one client and it is reporting the other.
