I would like to thank DarkSaibot for his great contribution in anonymousity threads

Today i am about to intruduce a new friend to torrent leechers

Name: Tor
Website: Torproject.org
Use: Hide your ip and provide you with proxy from different countries

Advantages:
1) IPs from different countries
2) Ease of use and control
3) Good speed

Disadvantages:
1) Ban on trackers that check international ip change

After you land on the website of torproject choose the version that fits your OS

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10015

At the installation you will be prompted to choose the components that you need

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10020

1) GUI
2) The proxy grabber
3) The filter which filters the contents and scripts of the traffic that could be used to identify you
4) Firefox plug-in that makes using tor easier

You will now be prompted to install tor plug-in to firefox

http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9434/65637702.jpg

Now all you have to do is to enable tor button with one left click,
you should notice that the button color changed from red to green

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10014

Now it is the time to give it a test

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10019

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10021

Now how can i change my ip??? Simple

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10018

Test again

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10017

http://www.sb-innovation.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=10016

At the end i would like to thank everyone that helped and still helping me in here specially: Anon

Thanks for the tut. But you should know that trackers already know about Tor - What.cd goes to the extent of warning their staff if someone uses it to browse the tracker.

But i think it is hard to track weather you use it or not??

The number of IPs you can get is unlimited!!

How can they tell if ur using tor?

Google "Tor checker". They let you know if an IP belongs to Tor in five seconds.

Yep, your best chance when it comes to changing IPs for logging on some serious tracker is "elite proxy". Because they even aren't detected as proxies. And that is exactly what we want. Cheat our way into tracker, fooling it to think that we are from xyz.

I'm glad that i don't have to bother with this as my country is allowed on every tracker i use. And if i must i can change my IP by restarting router; though im still stuck with my isp's hostname then.

I respect people trying to get anonymity while torrenting. But I don't really respect people using TOR for this purpose.

It's not made for it, and it's exploiting the good will of others who intend for their bandwidth to go towards TOR's more legitimate uses. Like, for example, getting un-censored internet in China.

Well, in this case it'd only be used to browse the tracker. Web browsing through Tor is OK.

We're of a common mind regarding P2Ping through it. That's not what it was meant for, and it eats others' voluntarily-offered bandwidth at an alarming rate.

I used Tor before but i recommend Proxy Switcher. It's very light and easy to use

The Best way to achieve anonymity in trackers is VPN. although you have to pay for that, but its secure and safe !!

The Best way to achieve anonymity in trackers is VPN.

A paid service, that is. Public ones can risk your accounts, specially on sites like BitMeTV.

Can you use this app to watch bbc channels on their site???

anon

You need a UK IP for that.

Also, do NOT use Tor for streaming, downloading or other bandwidth-intensive uses. It's composed of people with slow upload speeds like you and me donating them willingly.

Tor working, thats true. But if its really neccessary, i prefer to use just anonym proxys. Or high anonym, but they too rare.

Every 3rd lvl+ tracker's stuff surely knows about tor, so you they may catch you, i think...

Why is it that you people have so much trouble clicking on the Thanks button below posts to say thanks?

Also, http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?threadid=20889. Look at what they did to the first post. A tutorial without pictures is pretty useless.

if you want to limit the browsing to specific ip
add this code on torrc file

ExitNodes anynetwork11, anynetwork12, anynetwork13
StrictExitNodes 1

Replace anynetwork with the ip u want

Nice! I can't wait to see the tracker levels thread get an overhaul ;)
My method is pretty simple - I used it on BMTV (though for my own country, I didn't change country) and I wasn't banned... so there is hope for us all ;)
