After googling for a while, you get a private tracker url.
You open the url with your browser but you begin to wonder, is this really a private tracker ?
You browse the site for a while then you said : "It's a website for shopping, maybe I visit a wrong website."

That's the way secret tracker works, you must do "something" before you can see the real website.
It is intended so new user doesn't know that website is actually a secret tracker.

However, there are several ways to check :

1. Robots.txt
The existence of robots.txt in a website will prevent search engine (google / yahoo) to index a website.
More info about it in wikipedia : Robots exclusion standard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_exclusion_standard)

Open the tracker url and add robots.txt at the end of the tracker url.
Example : http://secretprivatetracker.org/robots.txt

Contents of robots.txt :

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Explanation :
User-agent: * means all search engine software will be rejected.
Disallow: / means the server will rejects all attempt to index any page on that website.

Most websites allow search engine to index their pages, if they reject search engine then something is wrong.
You can be sure that website is a secret private tracker.
This is a rare case, but if a private tracker doesn't have robots.txt, you'll see 404 not found error, otherwise you'll see the content above (User-agent : * Disallow: /)

2. Google suggestion
Type the name of the url in Google, wait for a while, then Google will suggest something for you, ex :

secretprivatetracker.org invite
secretprivatetracker.org register

That means lots of people type "secretprivatetracker.org invite" in google, you can be sure it's a private tracker.

3. Google search
Same as above, except you hit the search button.
If you see lots of people talk about that website, then it's a private tracker.

Well, that's it. If you know a better way, post it here.

I always use this one.
It's the easiest way I can think of.
Thank you for the other options.
