Guys which is the best BitTorrent Client.
For me the best client is Deluge with GreedyTorrent.

I think there was a thread about this already:biggrin:

EDIT: Anyway I voted uTorrent.I love it simple and powerful, yet resource friendly.

for me Azu with mratio & Azu with pmr

I think that thread might have been which one do you use( I can't remember); might as well vote anyway.

I voted for Vuze due to it being based on Java, hence it is multi OS.

I'm not a fan of Deluge due to it's extreme simplicity, and whenever I've used it, I've had connectivity problems - only connecting to say 3 out of 19 seeders, whilst with Azureus and uTorrent I was connecting to 15+.

Like Vuze. APart from good client, somehow I get better speeds with it than utorrent (dunno, maybe some settings here and there). Besides, xtreme mod gives more flexibility than any other cheating client or mod

I think there was a thread about this already:biggrin:

Two that is. But one was for the one you use the most, and another one for the best cheating combo

On topic: I need uTorrent because of uTP. Otherwise I'd use the Extreme Mod, which is a well-coded client both for downloading and cheating.

I voted for µTorrent because it has all the options I need and doesn't use much resources. :top:

Vuze Extreme Mod is the best for me :top:

I love Utorrent. It's light on resources, simple, and it helps you blend in to the crowd.

uTorrent as everyone said its light , does not piss me off by errors unlike other clients...

for cheating Vuze for sure ...

30.06.09, 05:10
The best client if you need a light one is, of course, utorrent. But the best featured one is Vuze/Azureus, you might not use them all, but you gotta give them credit for being feature rich. Another Vuze advantage is the open-source, which can help a lot in modding.

Ut is still the best for me. Easy to use and very low maintenance.

Utorrent, for simplicity and low resources requirement, also very stable. Good combo with rm.

µTorrent is the best for me
Lightweight, well coded, can handle handreds and handreds of torrents, and is not a resource hog.

Azureus is the best for sure, it needs alot of resouces but you won't feel it if you have a decent hardware configuration. uTorrent is good too but too simple.

Unless you have a seedbox? I've heard rTorrent can seed much faster than other clients. As a matter of fact, it's the one that was used in the "ScT 190MB/s" screenshot

VEM is the best in cheating clients and also rm but i mostly use mratio.

They all came a long way and are almost as good as each other.
uTorrent has the best interface IMO. For the seedbox, Transmission FTW.

For cheating, love it or hate it, VEM is the ultimate, the big BOSS :) The Mack Daddy of cheating tools. RM is it's grandson.

guys, looking for a bt client that:

open source (must)
high performance and low memory usage (top priority! dht, peer exchange, lpd not needed)
linux win mac supported (preferably)

besides Tr, qB and picotorrent, any other brilliant ones worth mentioning pls? have googled a lot just wanna be sure any less known good one isnt missed.

This describes rTorrent perfectly... and yes, Windows and Mac ports exist.

If performance is of critical importance, you could go one step farther and compile it yourself with custom CFLAGS (hint: march and mtune for your hardware, and -O3 isn't always better).

rTorrent - a terminal-based client.
libTorrent (uppercase "T") - the library that powers it, also known as rakshasa.
libtorrent (lowercase "t") - a different library that powers other clients (including qBt), also known as rasterbar.
ruTorrent ("r", then "u") - a graphical interface for rTorrent and perhaps the most popular one.

Hope that clarifies things

Ask your favorite search engine about "rTorrent on Windows" (I know, I couldn't believe it either), or clone the Git repository and compile it under Cygwin. Chances are someone's made a Docker container too.

I can't think of anything not already mentioned in the official documentation, which by the way is very thorough and regularly updated.

https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent/wiki

In any case, I don't expect most people to be using it without a GUI, nor would I do so myself. A console interface is too unwieldy and suboptimal for a torrent client.
