hello,

Q1) i just wanted to know whats the difference between the "Thanks" button and the Reputation system?

Q2) and which one is counted ?

Q3) and those green bars under the name, are they reputation or the count of the thanks ?

Q4) should i give thanks or reputation ?

i am asking this since my the number of "Thanks" i received was reduced but i can still see the old thanks..

Both are counted (I think);

But those Bars under the Name are for Reputation. Give "Reputation" is better.

They are both counted, but seperately.
The renomee points you'll get only for reputation.

a "thanks" was given to everyone :biggrin:

but is it only me who had his "Thanks" count in the userCP reduced ?
that happened to me last night when the "Thanks" system was disabled and now it returned ...
so is this normal ?:smile:

Q1) "Thanks" are used to say thanks. Reputation adds rep points to the user.

Q2) Both count, check your User CP.

Q3) They are the user's reputation.

Q4) That's subjetive. But as a rule of thumb, click the Thanks button before making Thanks-posts, and rep someone if you found their post useful, interesting, they've given you a free invite, or you want to show gratitude for an otherwise unrelated event.

That was because a board update was in progress.

You need to have a certain amount of posts and rep points before being able to affect others' reputation - an anti-abuse protection.
