Quick Tips
If you receive a lot of email chances are half of it is unwanted. Here's an easy way in Outlook/Express and Thunderbird to scan through mail quickly and delete the garbage: hold down the Shift key and use the down arrow key to zip through each message. This will highlight each one. When you get to a message you want to keep, arrow up one and hit "Delete". Bad email all gone. Arrow down to the next email and start the process all over.

With Internet Explorer you'll see a small icon with a blue "e" next to the site address. Make your browser window smaller so you can see some desktop, then drag the blue "e" to your desktop. Instant shortcut!

What usually happens is that you (or the software) do something unexpected and the program doesn't know how to handle it. When someone creates a piece of software, they try to anticipate every possible scenario. Unfortunately, that's next to impossible and sometimes you end up with bugs, including runtime errors.
So, what do you do if you get one of these runtime errors? Check the program's website for any updates or patches. You could also contact the program vendor and let them know.

When this happens, just grab the bottom right-hand corner of the window and drag to make it larger. As long as the large window is the last one closed out it will be the size used the next time you open a window.
