Just about everyone starting out in the world of seedboxes usually begins on a shared seedbox. They’re much more affordable (when compared to a dedicated box), they come pre-configured with a BitTorrent GUI & client, and there’s usually no setup fee. Simply pay, login to the box, and start adding torrents. Recently, however; there’s been an increasing trend whereby users of shared seedboxes are having their private tracker accounts hijacked. We explain how & why this is happening - and what you can do to prevent it.

and that's exactly why these shared boxes are a stupid idea to invest in - if you need a box: get a dedicated server!

whatever...seedboxes have quite a high monthly cost so users are always trying to find cheaper solutions, and if you aren't experienced with seedboxes it is more convenient to use pre-configured ones

anyways, decent companies will have professional approach, they aren't keen on having their name dragged in the mud

man...nothing is safe from such skilled people, so an average user can't expect to be on their level, on the other hand there is no reason (mostly) why such a hacker would target an average seedbox (and a cheap limited one for that matter):rolling_eyes:
