Rulles :

General rules - Breaking these rules can and will get you banned!

* Do not defy the moderators expressed wishes!
* Inactive accounts will be removed after 50 days
* Do not upload our torrents to other trackers! (See the FAQ for details.)
* Disruptive behaviour in the forums will result in a warning ( ).
You will only get one warning! After that it's bye bye Kansas!
* Don't upload our releases ANYWHERE without the uploader's permission
* Requesting free leech on any torrent by posting comments, asking for it in the forums or PM'ing a member of staff will result in an immediate two week warning and your message being deleted.
* You MUST make use of your account. If you download very little, your account will be disabled.
* Do not post ip addresses anywhere on the site for any reason.
* Do not use any text sizing tags besides [size=2], and only in moderation. ("moderation" is at the discretion of the staff). If ANY member of staff tells you to remove them, you will remove them.
* Color tags are not to be used anywhere on the site, for any reason, except by staff.

Downloading rules - By not following these rules you will lose download privileges!

* Low ratios will result in severe consequences, including banning in extreme cases.

Automatic class demotion to VCD:

* Users with a ratio below .45 & who downloaded more than 10 GB for 1 week (7 days) will be warned to correct their ratio. They will be able to leech 2 torrents. If they don't fix their ratio after 2 weeks they will be automatically demoted to VCD and limited to 2 torrents max. VCDs will have 2 weeks to increase their ratio or their account will be deleted.
* If you have downloaded less than a 10 GB you will not have to worry about automatic demotion but will only be able leech 2 torrents at a time. After you have downloaded 10 GB and your ratio is above .3 you will be able to leech 3 torrents at a time.
* Anyone downloading more than 90GB with a ratio less than .2 will be banned
* Users will be able to leech 3 torrents at a time.
* Superbit and above will be able to leech 100 torrents at a time.
* You must have legal rights to the file you are downloading.
* The following clients are allowed:
o Azureus 3.0.5.x & 3.1 & 4.x
o BitTornado 0.3.17 & 0.3.18

o ktorrent 2 & 3
o rtorrent 0.7.x & 0.8.x
o Transmission 1.2 - 1.4
o uTorrent 1.7.7 & 1.8

General Forum Guidelines - Please follow these guidelines or else you might end up with a warning! Torrent comments follow the same rules.

* No aggressive behaviour or flaming in the forums.
* Don't whine needlessly! Be grateful people are encoding/uploading for free! (Constructive criticism is allowed)
* No trashing of other peoples topics (i.e. SPAM).
* No language other than English is to be used on the site.
* No systematic foul language (and none at all on titles).
* No links to warez or crack sites in the forums.
* No requesting or posting of serials, keys, passwords or cracks in the forums.
* No bumping... (All bumped threads will be deleted.)
* No images larger than 800x600, and preferably web-optimised.
* No double posting. If you wish to post again, and yours is the last post in the thread please use the EDIT function, instead of posting a double.
* Please ensure all questions are posted in the correct section!
* Last, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!

Avatar Guidelines - Please try to follow these guidelines

* The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg and .png.
* Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 150 px and a size of no more than 150 KB. (Browsers will rescale them anyway: smaller images will be expanded and will not look good; larger images will just waste bandwidth and CPU cycles.) For now this is just a guideline but it will be automatically enforced in the near future.
* Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images. Mods have wide discretion on what is acceptable. If in doubt PM one.

Uploading rules - Torrents violating these rules may be deleted without notice
When you upload please respect the rules, and if you have any questions about something that's unclear or not understandable, PM the STAFF

* The region and copy protection MUST be removed and are the only things that may be removed

o No sizing guideline exceptions will be made for the use of a DTS track. If you can't stay within the guidelines using the DTS track, then use the DD track.

Subtitles:
o If the feature is a language other than English, English Subtitles are required to be included. No exceptions. (All subtitles will be in .srt format, no exceptions)

Container:
o A Matroska (.mkv) container is required for all encodes

550-700MB 42-60min episodes with Dolby Digital sound
700MB 42-60min episodes with DTS sound
1.4GB Movies under 2 hours in length
2.2GB Movies 2-3 hours in length

3.5GB Movies 4 hours or longer

o All movie guidelines are upper limits. A smaller size may be used if the extra bitrate is not needed. (e.g. letterboxed DVDs)

I always wondered that, but I don't think it's possible since it's not that hard to get inside sd-bits. Maybe checking their forums out? Well I'm too lazy to do it myself, sorry.

If you're so interested... don't quote me on this, but I've heard that if you prove to have video encoding knowledge on HDBits's IRC, their staff may invite you.
