There are lots of cool features PTP has that is unique to PTP. On the front page, you get to have the option of “hiding” certain parts, suck as the Latest Torrents, the Donations box, the Poll, and the Latest News.
The Donations box gives you information about the donations. More information can be seen in the screenshot below.
Another cool feature is the Cover Flow. It’s like Cover Flow in iTunes, except with movie covers. And it scrolls smoothly too. It might take a bit to load if you’re on a slower connection.
And of course, the Collections. There are currently 144 Collections. A good lot of them are collections based on a certain subject, such as Hammer Horror, Banned in the US, Christmas, etc.
The Tickets system is also worthy of a mention. Any bugs you encounter can be filed into a ticket, and a staff member will take a look into it and help you.
Speed: 7/10 - a lot of torrents only have 1 or 2 seeds, and they’re seeded from home connections.
Community: 8/10 - the staff are pretty fast responding, and always try to help users out. The forums are fun to post in too, lots of interesting subjects. Also, there is an opportunity for users to get free bonus points. It is a thread in the forum, and a Torrent Specialist gives them away to users that upload. Browsing through movie pages, you may notice that there are comments that thank the uploader. I think it shows how much the community cares and appreciates about the work the uploader put in to get the movie on PTP.
Content: 9/10 - I have on multiple occasions found what I was looking for for a while here. And, isn’t completing the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die already a phenomenal feat? With over 10,000 torrents that have been uploaded, PTP will be very likely to become the what.cd of movies.
I personally really like this tracker, like I have mentioned before, I have found movies that I have been looking for and couldn’t find anywhere uploaded here. There is always improvements being made, and (my favorite part) stylesheets being updated. The donations box at the front page shows that the staff is honest, and have nothing to hide. Director/producer and actor/actress pages are not ‘blank’, and a good lot of them have information and a picture accompanying it.
All in all, I really think PTP is a great tracker. One thing I think it can improve on is getting more seeders on some torrents that have few seeds to increase download
speeds. But otherwise, I find nothing else wrong about PTP.

If you see some movie torrents then their are only few seeders but i have found that speeds are good and the seeders:leechers ratio changes quite fast
they are really good...And they have a lot of collection movies i love it soo much.

They have recently brought some changes in their Bonus point system now user may no longer to convert Bonus points into invites and upload credit as according to the site staff , abuse of bonus system was increased ,
I myself had converted my bonus points to invites and distributed them among my friends on several invite forums :tongue:
I post about how I got hundreds of thousands of bonus points with NoReport-Seeder and then they change the system :tongue:

I think you do get invites if you're Elite, but the requirements are kind of exasperating.

It's sad that it's come to this, but after a long discussion and several days of issues with donations and such, we have decided to close our beloved site forever. We are incredibly saddened that circumstances have come to this, and we cannot begin to say how sorry we are about this. This site has become part of our lives. We've gained friends, some knowledge, and of course a good movie or two. There's no good way to write a goodbye news post, and there's definitely not any part of this we enjoy.
We've been through a lot, as a community, and as staff. We've had our ups, our downs, and we've overcame them all. This, sadly, is something we cannot overcome. We simply cannot afford to push on anymore, and we regret to inform you of this decision that has not come lightly.
We love our community, and we cannot begin to express the thanks we have for all of you in your hard work, support of each other and the site itself, and the countless hours most of you have spent on the site making it the great site it has become.
As one last token of our appreciation, we will be enabling site-wide freeleech and keep the site up until the end of our servers billing cycle. This will be essentially until the end of this month. This may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but it's all we can do at this time. We hope you all understand the sadness that comes with this decision, and know it was something we have not taken lightly. Our userbase is incredible, and we hope you find a home after we're gone.

They had open signups not so long ago. It was open just some hours. Though, it was before the above announcement.

We have created two new user classes!
Torrent King - 5TB Upload, 500 Uploads, >24 Weeks on site, and Ratio > 1.05.
Custom Class - 10TB Upload, 1000 Uploads, >36 Weeks on site, and Ratio > 1.05.
Some of the permissions for both of these classes:
* Personal Collection featured on your user page
* Ability to post polls in the forums
* Can double post in the forums
* No limit on number of search results
* No time limit on log search results
And the bad news...
A few months ago, we promised changes to the invites system, and they have come. As of now, Power Users will only receive 1 invite per month (down from 2), and will be capped at a maximum of 2 invites at any given time. Elites will continue to receive 2 invites per month and will be capped at 4. However, Elites+ may continue to send invites even when we have reached the user cap. As a reminder, only PU+ may purchase invites with bonus points, and donors will continue to receive 1 invite for their donation, regardless of user class.
Speaking of the user cap, we are aware that we are getting close to 25,000 users on site. We are at 24,891 as of the writing of this post. However, since the transition to RC2, we have no longer been disabling for inactivity (not logging in to the site). 2,653 users & members (who are not donors) have not logged in within the past 2 months. In 5 days, we will once again begin disabling users and members for inactivity, which is defined as not logging in at least once every two months. Power Users+ and Donors are immune. If you have any friends who qualify in this category, please contact them and tell them to log in to the site in order to keep their account from being disabled in 5 days.

As for the new classes, the requirements may seem impossible, but if there's something I've learned from private torrenting and playing MMORPGs, it is that there will always be people reaching them.

yeah, fantastic, so only those people are welcome to join that already have the ability to build a decent music video collection.
idiotic invite requirements like musicvids and i think similar btmusic have usually lead me to the conclusion that it's better for my emotional well being to stay away from these trackers.
I had PTP account but today I was recovered and working :) Class was user with 10gb UP and 0 files uploaded. I upload one file but smt was wrong and delete this file from my HDD but on the site still was. I cheated to get PU and im suprised I got promotion :D

Finally, what you've all been waiting for, INVITES ARE OPENING AGAIN! There's going to be quite a few changes to the invite system, but invites are once again open and available for inviting your friends and family to come be a part of the PTP family. We remind you that these invites are for people you know, and that trading, selling, or giving away of invites on a public forum is strictly prohibited.
Here's a summary of the changes being made to the invite system:
There will no longer be monthly invites given for any classes below TM+.
Invites will still be available in the Bonus Store but the price has been raised to 750,000 BP per invite.
Recruitment threads are going to be reopened on other trackers but will be handled exclusively by staff and approved representatives.
The number of invites for all users member+ have been reset to 1.
invites are once again open and available for inviting your friends and family to come be a part of the PTP family
