The only bad thing here is that they keep deleting torrents just like on filelist.org....
The only bad thing here is that they keep deleting torrents just like on filelist.org....Yes, it's because of TTL system (time to live), it's all automated.
Yes, it's because of TTL system (time to live), it's all automated.
just because this feature is automated doesn't mean it cannot be switched off
reminds me of the "computer says 'no'" sketches featured on "Little britain"

you know, this is one of the better music trackers around.
At times, at least from my experience, there is material there that you won't find on What, STMusic, or any other good music site.
how do you get an invite? I haven't seen invites offered on any of the invite forums. .
According the review, the invite system has been disabled.
Yes. That's correct. Here's the reason why it's been disabled.
There is a 75.000 users limit. When that number is reached we stop accepting new members. Accounts inactive for more than 42 days are automatically deleted, so keep trying
Taken from their FAQ.
A lot of tracker FAQs read similar statements - it originally applies to open signups, even for those that are never open.
Otherwise, I guess everyone is logging in to their FileMP3 account at least once every 42 days
YOu can count on it with me logging in to my account every now and then.
I don't wanna have to find another FIleMP3 account after the last one was lost due to inactivity.
I won't be lett'in that happen again. ....at least I'll try.
T his is a good scene music tracker.

Who needs that SoftMP3 replacement when you've got FileMP3 and where the sysops and admins aren't bitches??

Used to be one of the best music trackers but now it's just getting worst and worst :baeh: and the staff are about to shut it down :frown:
Dear Members,
It is with my deepest regret to bring you the following news. Recently we have had problems with our donations account and due to this reason we may be unable to pay our bills. This means that there is a great risk of this site closing by the end of the month unless we find a solution.
We will keep you posted if there are any new developments. In the meantime we will be turning off the wait period so that everyone can enjoy free leech.
- Thank you, Staff

Combine having registrations closed with no invite system and it's normal for the place to begin dying as the current userbase loses interest. :gdabs:
Yeah it used to offer new releases pretty much daily and every couple hours but for the past year or perhaps 2 its like new releases are just posted once every couple days. They are still good, but not nearly as good as it used to be. At least its new stuff and just repeats and/or stuff thats just getting reupped over and over again.
It seems like they are having problems with their paypal and may have to shut down soon.

Not news, see above.

RIP FileMP3.
The only thing that's open on this place now is the forums. And even then, the forums were'nt very active to begin with...sadly.
Filemp3 has been around for the longest time that I can recall. I remember when they had open signups a number of years ago and that's when I got my account there.
I know that in the forums there was some discussion on how to make the place a little more active with respect to new memberships and so forth. But obviously, none of that ever came through.
Most epecially with paypal problems and donations and so forth.
Much like Oink from the old days, I think that Filemp3 will fairly soon officially go RIP. once they decide to shut the forums down b/c in my opinion, there's no sense in having 3 sub-forums open if there's nothing to download. :(
I hate to see filemp3 go away :(
It's the only music tracker I'm a member of... and I've been a member there for over 5 years :(

What.CD: A Beginner's Guide (http://www.whatinterviewprep.com/)
Just take the What.cd interview and get in that amazing music tracker. You're Swedish, so you shouldn't face country bans nor ratio-keeping problems.

So What.CD is the best around these days?
FileMP3 is coughing up torrents sporadicly still.
Last I checked, filemp3 still has the same amount of torrents that it did last week...at just somewhat over 300. With warez sites popping up that specialize in scene related content specific to music, it's no wonder that sites like filemp3 are getting quite the competition. In a way, it's terribly sad. I also have been a member of filemp3 for a number of years in which someone traded their account to me for another.
Hopefully and wishfully, I'd like to see this site become better in torrent numbers than what it is currently. :ggrin:

Definitely.

You can't compare that with What.cd - it's a few Scene torrents every week, with a 28-day TTL, against the hundreds of things that are uploaded to What every day.

Sounds great. I'll have to take a look at that interview thing then. Thanks for the tip!
