I second that, Foobar has improved a lot in the last year, you can build up your own UI with a few clicks, it's very reliable, goes easy on the CPU and RAM...and something that almost no one knows: It can read RAR and ZIP files :top:

I think everyone should try to use foobar like me! At first it is a little bit complicated and compley but then you explore the many different oportunities of settings and things you can create by your own and its a really good alternative to itunes. Ohh no its better than itunes !

At the moment I use Songbird. I seem to change every year or so.

Winamp didn't work with huge volumes of music.

Foobar was just confusing. I don't want to have to program just to get stuff set up the way I want.

I'm still using the old Winamp with Enhancer, but none of the cheap ear/headphones I buy lasts more than a few months, so I have to rotate :wtongue:

However, I once had this pair of Chinese headphones bought at the absolute steal of 2.50AR$ (which was nearly 1 US dollar at the time) in a general store, which lasted nearly a year. Good sound too.

I agree that foobar2000 is the best for Windows ( very light and have a lot of plugins)
But what is the best for linux?
Music on console don't support *.cue
