currently using xperia arc...Love it's camera and design..UI not is up to par with htc but still better than touchwiz..Official ICS beta rom is available and it's stable for daily use..
Can anyone tell me if HTC Desire HD is worth the money?
100%, yes.Its the HTC "mainstream" phone and the development area in XDA is HUGE, maybe thousands of roms, themes, kerenls etc. Thats gonna interest u only if u consider rooting it. The official support is not bad also, we have official sense 3.0 and allegedly were gonna get the ICS later on this year, so, yeah i think its worth the 300 euro.
I am still using the old Nokia E61. After research i found that even in the price range of E71 the screen size is just 2.4 inches while in E61 it is solid 2.9 inch screen.

Samsung S5600v Blade. It was a gift from my sister.
Used to have HTC Desire HD and for 3 days now, the SGS3.
How do you like it? My sister has it, and I must admit, I prefer mine, SGS2
Well, what can I say, its obviously a powerful device, but it has it flaws of course. I've had some SGS2s in my hands and I prefer the S3 (the S2s were laggy, one of them even restarted for no reason), but everyone has the right to choose, I guess :) Feel free to share your point of view :)
P.S. I have to say, though, that the S-Voice was a total disappointment for me.
Of course, I agree with you, everyone has it's own right to choose. When I bought S2 and when I started using it, it just felt natural, but when I got S3 in my hands, felt kinda weird. Don't know why, I just don't like it so much. I agree it's more powerful than S2.
LT18i SuperCharged 100%
What's that?
What's that?
Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC S LT18i with installed V6_SuperCharger script from xda member zeppelinrox....
[U9RC11T6] Maximum MultiTasking Mods + -=V6 SuperCharger=- = TOTAL RAM CONTROL! - xda-developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276)
It optimizes Android System Memory Manager so you don't need task killers, the system does that automatically, and better. It increases Home Screen app priority so it does not refresh or lag. It does few more optimizations for battery, wifi and sd card speed.
In short, it makes your Android phone faster than any other tool.
=)
It works with every Rooted Android phone....
I didn't root mine. Not sure if I want to, I'm afraid I'll mess something up!
I didn't root mine. Not sure if I want to, I'm afraid I'll mess something up!
Try with unlockroot.com
You can't do anything wrong with this tool.
Rooting phone basically copies two files to system partition. "su" to "/system/bin/" and "Superuser.apk" to "/system/app". "su" is app which other apps use to gain root access, like on linux and "Superuser.apk" is app that manages which app is allowed root permissions and which not.
Root enables you to change system variables to speed up phone, or for example recover wifi passwords with Wifi Key Recovery, delete bloatware apps from your phone with Titanium Backup (or backup and restore apps), increase space for apps by linking app files to second partition on sd card with Link2SD, patch apps with "Lucky Patcher" to remove ads from free play store apps, disable startup on boot of unwanted apps with "StartUp Manager".
The most important thing V6_SuperCharger script does, it changes minfree values and rearranges application and service priorities.
For minfree values you can also use "AutoKiller Memory Optimizer", because changing app priorities on ICS requires patching "services.odex" file and can make your phone boot loop if you do something wrong, but if you do it by tutorial it works. You can always restore your phone with PC Software.
Don't be afraid of boot loop because it does not damage your phone, stock odexed roms recognize that services.odex has wrong signature or is not patched right and phone won't boot. It's the same like deleting ntldr file on windows, and then windows won't boot. You can repair your phone with PC software which installs phone software again and phone will work.
Rooting Bootloader is another thing which enables you to install custom roms and kernels, which are usually faster and have better battery life.
For example CyanogenMod | Android Community Rom based on Jelly Bean (http://www.cyanogenmod.com/)
If it can be done, someone done it already and there is tutorial how to do it on XDA forum.
At the moment iPhone 4, think about to switch to iPhone 5.
