One of the underestimated trackers at all, like the IPT. TVT is one time closed for signup, but getting in with the invitation is not too hard, because of the large number of members and weak demands for that tracker. For me very dear tracker, among other things because it was one of the first:smile:

The interface is not what you used to see on most tracker, most will not like it, but i am satisfied. When you use to it, there will be no problem. In the "Shows" you have three drop down menus, in order - all series, running shows, and by categories (genre). Also nice options like a list of top rated series, upcoming / recently broadcasted episodes by date, calendar episodes and some other little things that would come into expression only if the site was a little more beautiful and clearly. But when you find out were some stuff is,you'll appreciate it what it got.

TvT has an untypical ratio system, let's say it doesn't have it. But, it not means that upload should not worry you. Instead of classical download and upload measured in kB>, the TvT is handled with Credits.

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3497/154o.png

Most important - content. In the statistics tracker is currently monitoring 12,936 active torrents.
It does not write how much users they have, but according to daily statistics about 42000 users online daily. So it mean the registered is much more.
Speeds are decent, especially the popular series.Things are uploaded unpacked.So. Avi /. Mkv files.

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4356/r79hew.jpg

Content is organized according to categories (genres) in which are the series. Within each series episodes are categorized according to seasons, and after the end of the season, a single torrent is thrown into a torrent, and then the season has a couple of torrents, one for each edition (HDTV, 720p, DVDRip etc.), which is quite clearly and simply . Interesting, there are no DVD-R image releases, but only rips, as well as no extras (bonus material, prohibited upload).

http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1512/28hzrfd.jpg

Invitations - with invitation you get at least 1GCredits, upwards, depending on how your inviter give you. On the other hand, to invite someone, you must have at least 11 GCredits and be a member of 3 months. Or more, depending how much you have wide hands. Also, can send a maximum of 3 invitations to 3 months. When you invite someone you lose 1GCredits on that person.Or more, depending how wide hands you have. Also, you can send a maximum of 3 invitations in 3 months.

In short, if you like TV content, have BitMeTV or not, TvT is must have.Yea and also there is no forum.

The first things that many users will notice is the unique user interface; useful links on the left and adverts (from Amazon no less!) on the right, with news down the centre. After a bit of exploring I found that TVT wasn't like most other BitTorrent Trackers; there wasn't a browse page as such. You just search what you are interested in and that's it. Similar to TV.T.RO, the site uses a neutral blue to display itself.

One feature I like alot is the fact you can add individual shows, not torrents, to you favourites list. Then under the "My" section on the left of the page, by clicking the "New fav torrents" you can see if there are any new torrents relating to you favourite shows.

As mentioned, TVT tracks TV shows... a lot of TV shows. 1397 in total! The majority are USA or UK produced, so I'm afraid to say not all people will find the site very useful.

Another unique feature to the site is the credit system inplace of a ratio system. Essentially, your credits (say 20Gcredits) are your buffer (so a buffer of 20Gb); if you download 4Gb, you Gcredits go down by 4. There's Tcredits, Gcredits, Mcredits, and Credits. Though, there is one problem here; if you have no credits, you cannot download a show to seed back; so if you do get invited make sure, you inviter gives you some!

Stangely, there doesn't seem to be a forum! However, if it's socialising with other memebers you want to do, there is a chat box (unsure of whether it's an IRC chat box).

Speeds vary; most are typical home connections, so torrents with few seeders tend to be slow. However, more often than not, popular shows (such as Lost) get seeders in the thousands.

Cheating there is fairly easy; I've used NRPG RatioMaster, moofdev RatioMaster and Extreme Mod, all at <150kBps. I was recieving some problems using the NRPG RatioMaster, in concerns with their tracker; they have two. So I recommend the Extreme Mod, over the two RatioMasters.

Again, just a TV.T.RO, if you find yourself unable to attract a BMTV invite, then TVT is a very good alternative, and in my opinion, a most underrated tracker.

I don't download DVDs, but TDC seems to be one of the best trackers for those. You can also find lots of material at TL.

applying on a giveaway if you meet its requirements,
getting to Power User on trackers that have a PU invites forum (warning, this may link both accounts),

...and last but not least, knowing a friend that's inside the site and has an spare invite

I have had an account onsite TL in the past. The account has been disabled for the obvious reasons that i was inactive to long.

That said, i couldnt find more onsite TL than on opentrackers in terms of serries on dvd 5 or DVD 9.

Just and Only for TV-Serries released on DVD format are sometimes hard to come by and i kind of hoped i woud find them more easily on private trackers (but then again!!?).

No such luck...! I find them as easily at open trackers or other private trackers.

If you apply in a giveaway or take an invite from trackers' PU forums, you should only have to PM the inviter.

You have the Member user title, and thus access to the giveaway thread. Get some rep and monitor it, there are amazing offers every now and then

Maybe so anon, but i still think its allot of effort to get you nowhere realy

Nowdays some Tsites bestow you whit questions , tons of faqs, and more trick questions through the registration process "REALY :stupid:".
So overwhelming that you almost need an master degree in english to answer those correctly. Because if you fail to answer one faq wrong you have like 4 on 5 tries left to get in or you get banned even before you have had the chance to become a member based on those stupid Q&A quiz :stupid:

All that to find out the tracker in questions has less than nothing to offer !!

And i wont spend another sec cheating my way in by masking my wanip anymore .

Nowdays i have other priority's.
DVD-R Movies, games, appz can be found everywhere nowdays anyways.
And i do subtitle them myself if neccesarry

Even TV-serries whit an bit of luck.

Hehe, i wos in the same boat like you my friend

I didnt want to pay big money for a tv subscription in the past to watch only 1 or 2 episodes a week you know !!?

Chances are you'll gonna have to rent them!

Not many DVD-r high quality serries to find... And if you find them its either not in your language or so high compressed/encoded that it pains my eyes to watch them on an LCD screen !!

I noticed, almost everything needs to be as small ass possible . Resulting in low quality garbage not to mention the compatibility !!

Either its Xvid here or DIVX there oh and the most favorite these days WMV, MKV containers :baeh: jesus....

Try to play that on an stand alone dvd player !! You need an verry special dvd player which support those codecs, most players DONT SUPPORT that CRAP !!

Sure , you always can "RE"-encode them for god KNOWS the xx,xx time and scrafice AGAIN mainly video quality !!

Naaahh, give me rather the original source material to work whit :)

dju
30.07.10, 17:08
Yeah, the same. It's higher level if i'm not wrong, because i used to have tvtorrents about year ago and maybe then the things were different. Well the speeds at BitMeTv are amazing, most of users use seedboxes and without a seedbox it's impossible to mantain a good ratio there at all. I buffered mine with seedbox for first month, then downloaded something and after 2 months started to cheat with VEM carefully, because staff there is watching new members and all members a lot!

Vuze-Sbi
30.07.10, 17:13
Lol i have 8Mbit/1Mbit isp can't go higher than 830kb/s,and tvt.ro and tvt.com both of them can give me that speed most of time easily .Shame on my isp :) .

dju
30.07.10, 17:24
I use 4Mbit/0.5Mbit connection and always get my max which is about 490kb/s, but the upload is crappy :D
When i was using seedbox the highest download speed was about 30MB/s with a crappy seedbox (on BitMeTv), the upload reached approximately the same on fresh torrents loaded up with mircbot.
By the way jumping on new torrents is still the best way to get a great ratio with a SB.

If your TV tastes are quite mainstream, you don't even need a TV tracker - any 0-Day will do.

I dont have TvT anymore, traded it away looong time ago. I DL things like A-Team old episodes, MacGyver, Full House etc stuff from BitMeTv and also the other stuff which is available at 0-day trackers. Nope, just saying that I think the average downloader won't feel the difference.

I see... But when i got that tracker i was actually really amazed about the stuff... So much TV shows, episodes and categories... I think that at least 30-40% of stuff BitMeTv offers can't be downloaded in main 0-day trackers. BitMeTv must be special in some way :)
I got it later than TvT and i wasn't very amazed about TvT, but i don't mean it's a bad tracker, it's good for sure!

anon
30.07.10, 18:57
BitMeTv must be special in some way :)

It's still the SCC of TV trackers speed and seedbox-wise

Don't get me wrong, between a buffered TvT and BitMeTV I'd probably choose the latter, since it has the same as TvT plus other stuff... but what I mean is that for a normal downloaded, the former should suffice.

dju
30.07.10, 19:08
From other side it was easy to cheat on TvT, but not so easy on BitMeTv. I started buffering my BitMeTv acc with a seedbox and continued "buffering" it with VEM on low speeds :D
By the way the speeds i reached with a seedbox on BMTV was amazing(!!!), both upload and download, but as my internet connection can DL at only 4MB/s, the speed doesn't matter so much for me... :)

New announcement about clients.

NEWS - 2010-07-31
Client updates and error messages
The torrent client lists have been updated to block some of the older versions of clients, and you will receive an error message in the tracker status with this information.

Too many people just see that their torrents are "red" and don't bother to try to see why, and then submit a CONTACT message asking about it. That is a waste of our time and yours, when your client is TELLING you why.

Most significantly, versions prior to 1.8.4 of uTorrent are no longer allowed, you will have to update to 1.8.4 or above. Check the uTorrent web site for it. Reason: older versions that have history of not reporting properly to our tracker.

Many also say "other trackers won't allow the most current uTorrent". Well, there's nothing we can do about that. So you have 2 choices... upgrade to 1.8.4 or above, or run 2 instances of uTorrent. One for them, one for us. The uTorrent web site has instructions on how to do this.

dju
31.07.10, 19:46
Why dont they just allow the latest uTorrent build? This is starting to become a real mess. Latest uTorrent releases should be safe and good to use.

Vuze-Sbi
31.07.10, 19:50
I agree, they're just banning clients when they bored.

dju
31.07.10, 22:28
uTorrent is good for windows, Transmission is good for linux users. Both clients must be allowed at every tracker, latest builds ofc. Mostly they are allowed everywhere, but as we see here, there are exceptions. We can't do anything about it if tracker staff likes playing around with some settings and rules just4fun :D
Of course Vuze must be allowed, because it's damn safe and easy to cheat with it. I think that VEM by SB-i did make Vuze/Azureus more popular.. i mean WAAY more popular :D And since it's based on java it's easy to mod for coders.
Only places from which i use vuze is banned on both music trackers - what.cd and waffles.

Sure, i'm spoofing the latest current version of vuze in VEM 4.3.0.5_B01_DDJ. As i remember there were problems using ghostfuckers uTorrent spoof. Spoofing of uTorrent 1.8.1 is still available at 4.3.0.5_B01_DDJ, but it might be banned somewhere, as it isn't the latest version of uTorrent, and i remember users getting banned at trackersof using that spoof, at the latest VEM version there might be changes, but i'm not a member and can't access it.
