3Tb on Demonoid; call me a pussy then! Was just testing out their scripts, turns out, there were none! Other than that never more than 200Gb (FunFile), otherwise I think I will stick out or Mods will check my snatchlist.

While 37TB is a lot, you've stated that you don't cheat, so I don't know :tongue:
My biggest buffer is ~110GB - enough in my opinion since I mostly download 700MB movies and V0 albums.

What's wrong with the current ones? The Shu Mod tutorial fully documents all features apart from ghostfucker's perfect spoof, and SealLion has made a great, extremely detailed Ratio Faker tutorial recently.
Only 100gb right now but like anon I don't dl much big files just want to keep positive on all the trackers.

Right now only 92 gb
3.5 TB on tracker with no scripts.
If you count demonoid 1.7 TB, but otherwise I try not to go over 100GB with a good amount download to stay under the radar.
Reaching 1.5TB on TL ..I'm going big and I don't care...cheat smart and you'll never get caught :D

Nah, it was bakabt, the only tracker at the time that I knew had no scripts >< I used to think demonoid was very special and I didnt want to risk cheating there xD Haha looking back thats so silly :S
So, as part of a small stream of bumps to inaugurate this new section: mine is now ~1TB at SCC, all done with the RM just to get to Scene Legend and check how much v2 sucks by myself.
11 TB which is still active.. although i cheated in petabytes too at bwtorrents :lol:

When you post in the forums,your ratio is displayed rather prominently to the moderators of the site...
The staff as you know frequents the forum quite often...
And when they saw that ridiculous 24tb up and 10gbdown stat they investigated...

i only did it to test flashing there - i virtually never use the account...
2.01 TB done in almost 5 years off clean work.
I also used to have a 2TB(up) 0b(down) on another old tracker but some of the staff got pissed at me and delete my account.
Actually I got my account deleted so many times I can't really remember anymore (and not for cheating, or spamming or bad-mouthing the staff).

The only use I see for cheating on Demonoid is fixing an aesthetically unpleasing ratio... and I doubt you've downloaded 150 TB from there.

A buffer is your amount of upload minus your download. Essentially how much you can leech until your ratio drops to 1.0. The term "buffer" may be a reference to a transient area of data storage used in many computer programs.

Exactly. I try to maintain my buffer around 40-50gb. 1,3gb is a bit low, since I usually download some big stuff, like games. If my ratio goes below 1.0, I lose my Power User D:
So high ratio is useful sometimes.

I feel like bumping this one, I know its an old one, but I'm interested in how you guys manage your accounts regarding buffers.
I've read the posts from years ago, that most people just cheat when their ratio drops from 1:1, others dont have the need no more.
Personally in the past, I havent downloaded a whole lot since my download bandwidth wasnt that great, so cheating wasnt a big deal. That has changed a bit and I feel the need to 'settle' with it so I dont have to cheat anymore. What I'm doing is getting great but reasonable buffers, so I'm done with it. The other way would be to just ghostleech and go by it, no hassles. Only thing that bothers me about that is that eventually, some tracker finds a way to detect it like What did.
What are your thoughts? Do you progressivelly cheat according to your needs? Maybe flashed a huge ammount and got done? Just ghostleech?
I ghostleech quite a lot, making buffering irrelevant. It's easier, takes less time, and works to do the one thing all of us got into torrents for: getting files (as opposed to invites or fame).
Also, things sure have changed since this thread was created. Multi-terabyte buffers don't impress anyone anymore, and a 100 Mbit seedbox is now considered slow!

Ah thank you. But I've learned a valuable lesson after this and other incidents.
1) Experiment on public trackers.
2) Cheat to survive. No boasting stats, it'll lead to your downfall (or in this cases ban).
Besides, many popular trackers will stay away from the torrentbits source code cause we know what happens to free stuff.

I dug in my files and look what I've found! If there was no metadata to tell you the document is from February 2007, those logos, screenshots and MySpace link should provide a fairly accurate means of dating it =]

By the way, I'd add the 1k upload limit thang to that guide. Its been my torrenting habit since day one.

uTorrent used to limit your download speed to n*6 if you set the upload limit below 6. This was meant to deter leeching while not affecting people who really needed those low limits. Now, as I found out all by myself, setting a 1 KB/s upload cap on the torrent's properties page had no such consequence =] And some hackers from Egypt would later discover that pasting a negative number of upload slots in the settings dialog disabled uploading altogether.
Man, all the shit I went through to be able to download torrents, because my connection speed was awful in both directions and I didn't know better...

Around 15 TB. I get tired after reaching 3-4 TBs in most trackers.

I had just under 50TB of buffer on YGGT's father: T411 (RIP). And 80% of that buffer only came from the first 4 seasons of GOT (remuxes, which helps) that I had been seeding for years. And that was without cheating.
