I just realized that notepad cannot view nfo files properly. It can do some basic stuff but does not view then quite they way I want it. What do you guys use for viewing nfo's?

I know notepad does not view it correctly but wordpad works for me...and I believe it is included in every Vista operating system.

This is a good solution if you don't want to DL another program...

For using Notepad as an .nfo viewer, you need to change the font in Notepad to "Terminal". Then it should work properly, and look like anyother .nfo viewer.

+1 to Damn NFO Viewer, very handy and with URL support.

Agreed, but the can be helpful, and atleast explain more than what the tags in the title provide, such as the resolution. Also, .NFOs sometimes contain Scene drama - groups insulting groups, so I end up LOL at those.

@Ned Flanders: I agree with splicer, perhaps you haven't tried setting the font to Terminal, 8pt? :smile:

I like those as well. You can find more of those at Scenenotice.org (http://scenenotice.org/). :top:

I've replaced the standard Notepad program from Windows with this little tool:
Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm)

I use it at home and also at home and it's great!
And of course you can view nfo-files properly.
For me it's the ALLin1-solution :smile:

I use nfopad (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Text-editors/NFOpad.shtml) because unlike damn nfo viewer it is still in development and it is far better than everything i've ever seen. Also there is another good one called Get Diz (google it).

Just because a program has stopped development, doesn't mean that it is worse than other programs. It just means that the coders have stopped because they had a reason - perhaps even that the program in question was perfectly stable and had all the features possibly required for it's task.

Anyway, anyone know a decent .nfo viewer for Linux/Ubuntu?

That is of little consequence for a program with such a limited scope.
