UltraISO is a CD/DVD image file creating/editing/converting tool , it can directly edit the CD/DVD image file and extract files and folders from it, as well as directly make ISO files from your CD/DVD drive or hard disk. At the same time, you can maintain the ISO bootable information, thus creating your own bootable CDs and DVDs. You now have the power to make and edit your own ISO files, and then burn them to CD or DVD for your own needs.

+1 to UltraISO, I have used in the past. Fairly simple to use, however I find I am using PowerISO more and more.

Is PowerISO a little bit easier to work with when wanting to burn, splicer??

That is.....in comparison to UltraISO??

How does the GUI compare??

Operationally, they are very similar - abilities to mount images (.iso etc), create images, and have support for virtually the same formats, though I think PowerISO has it's own proprietory format. Visually they look similar, but they are different.

I found PowerISO easier to use because of it's simplification of operations, and has a much cleaner interface as a result, rather than lots of little images (as is the case in UltraISO), but people will always have preferences as to which software they want to use.

@john.terry666: put text passages between QUOTE tags

@Topic: I like PowerISO as well, specially because of the simple and fast GUI, and its mini-virtual drive, which supports a lot of image formats. The only problem I have had with it is that every burnt CD ended up being a coaster. :frown:
